There's still not enough throwing knives.
So we can look forward to the PC version some time in June 2012
Great, can't wait.
It's going to be much about Altair I guess.
So... Is this AC3 or is it just another expansion like Brotherhood? Well, here's hoping there's a space mission against the Space Pope and the evil solar flare smoke monster.
More Ezio? Ugh. I want someone new. Ezio's cool, but he's a bit overdone.
I want a Black Hand assassin now. I mean, starting WW1 and fighting during it would be awesome.
Ezio? Fucking again? :colbert:
Where's that quote about them not turning it into an annual franchise as it would reduce the quality While I think the games have each improved in quality I now find the base beneath all the added parts to be pretty weak and I really want them to do a major reworking of the controls and basic mechanics rather than just tweak and add new story. Edit: found the article http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/no-assassins-creed-in-2011 Has this golden quote "This [Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood] is the end of Ezio’s story. This is it"

In BroHood Ezio was back to the good 'ol jump wherever he wants.
When you think about it, there's not much room to complain about 'too many Ezio expansions' - there was the DS and PSP games for Altiar, even if those had their own, self-contained stories. This will even the two characters out - three for three, even if Ezio got the better games. AC1 was Altiar, AC2 was Ezio, so AC3 and all of its possible expansions will focus on a new character if not just Desmond himself, considering skill-bleeding.. Probably another three either way, though. :v:
Well, just don't make the game worse and you'll have my money. Or add split-screen, then you'll have them as well.
You also play as Altair and Desmond, it's not a completely Ezio focused game like 2 and Brotherhood.
I hope we get some Desmond as an assassin action
It looks to me like Ubisoft didn't even pre-write their story and just goes on with the titles story when its being developed.
Can we advance in history so I can kill Mussolini already.
PC version is coming out at the same time as console versions.
I thought the third game was gonna be in Russia! What the hell Ubisoft?!

This is a terrible decision. The reason this franchise was exciting was because it seemed like it was going to continue to evolve dramatically with every title. Brotherhood and this game are just pointless diversions and this most likely won't be revolutionary in any way. They'd better spend a good couple years developing Assassins Creed 3.
I thought the third game was gonna be in Russia! What the hell Ubisoft?!
Third game was never going to be about Russia. The Russian storyline is only in the comics. [editline]5th May 2011[/editline] Oh and this isn't AC3, this is just yet ANOTHER game to finish Ezio story.

As long as they don't take away features, it's going to be hard to make the games worse.
Why is everyone disappointed about Ezio? He's pretty cool.
Ezio is cool, but shit we already had 2 great games based on him and we're getting bored of him
Fuck Ezio, someone new.
Honestly, I like Ezio. I want to see a new character, but I'm in no way unhappy with him. What bothers me though is that screenshot. The graphics look terrible compared to how the game normally looks. And what the hell is with his clothes, and that weird golden hook (which is clearly an eagle head) on the right hidden blade? Is Ezio taking up Assassin Crocheting in his old age?
Nah, it's just a golden crowbar.
Nah, it's just a golden crowbar.
Wouldn't that basically be a terrible crowbar, since gold is rather malleable?
I still think there should be an Assassin's Creed in England circa the late 1800s. You can be British, you still have a lot of shit to climb, (Big Ben?) you still get horses, guns and knives, and Jack the Ripper can be the big boss.
I'm not interested anymore. I was hoping the next major title would take us to a new locale. Italy and Ezio are getting exhausted to me. I was in full support of Brotherhood but this is just, eh. Is this the end to Assassin's Creed or is this the end to Ezio himself? I don't understand since RPS seems to say AC is done.

That's what that stuff at the end of Brotherhood was indicating. And I vaguely remember stuff all the way back to the first Assassin's Creed indicating that the French Revolution would be involved somehow.
