Creator Dan Harmon and castmembers Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong have all signed on for Season 6. "I am very pleased that Community will be returning for its predestined sixth season on Yahoo," Harmon said in a statement. "I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online. I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, Big Bang Theory. Look out,BangBus!" "‘The reports of our cancellation have been greatly exaggerated.’" McHale said, attributing the quote to Mark Twain, joking that the other version of this quote has been wrong for years. "#SixSeasonsAndaMovie is real. Thank you Sony. Thank you Yahoo. Thank you Dan Harmon. And thank you to the greatest f%$#ing fans in the history of the human race. It’s the internet. We can swear now." After five seasons of on-the-bubble ratings, NBC announced Community's cancellation back in May – truly the darkest timeline – but the show's hardcore fans never gave up. There's been plenty of speculation about online outlets vying to give the show a new home ever since, and now we can all wave our inappropriately emblazoned flags in victory. Community has always been at its best when it's gone super-meta, and Abed's (Pudi) words of wall-breaking wisdom to Annie (Brie) in the Season 5 finale, "Basic Sandwich," signaled to fans that Harmon and co. wouldn't give up the fight if NBC pulled the plug: "This show, Annie ... it isn’t just their show. This is our show, and it’s not over." And then he spouted something about asteroids destroying Greendale... so we're happy that didn't happen. But they have had their fair share of hurdles along the way: There was the behind-the-scenes drama between Harmon and original castmember Chevy Chase that resulted in Chase's exit in Season 4; there was Harmon's ousting and replacement during Season 4 after repeated issues on set and fights with the network and studio; and there was Donald Glover's exit as Troy after only a handful of episodes in Season 5
https://tv.yahoo.com/blogs/tv-news/community-season-6-yahoo-204612640.html
YES! I love this show! I hope they start looking at an end for the show to give it a proper ending though. This show deserves a proper ending. What a weird website to pick it up though. Hopefully they do a good job with it.
Let's not forget that Yahoo is a huge perpetrator of data massacre, despite this news. See: Geocities. A company like Netflix would do much better with the rights for Community.
I'm not sure what to think. Quick, someone form my opinion for me!
Look out,BangBus!
Time for a porno spin off.
Why the fuck hasn't anyone brought My Name is Earl back? I thought it was an awesome show.
Why can't they just let this show die already. It became a steaming piece of garbage after the midpoint hiatus of season 3. It's like the spongebob of live action
Why the fuck hasn't anyone brought My Name is Earl back? I thought it was an awesome show.
I started watching that show recently. About half way through Season 2. I really like it. I'm kinda bummed out it didn't have a proper ending.
Why the fuck hasn't anyone brought My Name is Earl back? I thought it was an awesome show.
Cause NBC has been ran by an incredibly long series of incomptent goons. There were talks about a movie deal, but knowing NBC they'll find some way to fuck that up too.
The show has sorta gone down hill pass few seasons, they really need to end it, its not the same without troy.
The show has sorta gone down hill pass few seasons, they really need to end it, its not the same without troy.
That's the idea. #6seasonsandamovie
imo seasons 1 and 2 were awesome, season 3 started out good and ended shit and season 4 was just awful I don't know beyond that since I just stopped watching
I think it progressively got less funnier as more and more episodes just became goofy nonsense.
I was hoping we could have it put to rest already. It had it's run, and I can't believe I'm saying this about my favourite show, but I seriously don't want any more.
Time for a porno spin off.
"This Isn't Community XXX: A Porn Parody" (Why do they all do that now?)

Eventually the schtick runs a bit dry and the characters become more and more... I dont know, parodies of themselves where all of the stuff that made them funny is exaggerated to all hell and becomes unfunny quickly. 30 Rock didnt have that problem though, it was always good.
Season 5 as good, if not better than season 3. If the quality stays the same I'm keen for one last season.

I thought Season 5 was a real return to form personally, with the introduction of Jonathan Banks and an expanded role for John Oliver. The dialogue was the best in years too. I think it'll keep improving.
Season 5 was the best series since 2, if the quality stays at that level it deserves one more season.
"This Isn't Community XXX: A Porn Parody" (Why do they all do that now?)
I'm guessing they assume people are too stupid to realise what Cumminity is.
Watched the first three episodes, didn't find it that funny. Does it get better? I rarely like American humour, but I do like Brooklyn nine-nine.
Never liked this show. Watched a couple of episodes but never found it amusing in any respect.
Watched the first three episodes, didn't find it that funny. Does it get better? I rarely like American humour, but I do like Brooklyn nine-nine.
It took me a little while to start liking the humor. I did however like the characters from the beginning. If you don't like characters, or you didn't laugh what so ever, I am not sure if you will like it. I think the humor really kicks off at season 2, which is my favorite. But I can totally understand it when people don't find it funny. It is a weird type of humor.

Like, any scene with Hazel Wassername became completely outlandish and gross.
I have no idea what Yahoo Screen is, but I'm pretty happy to see Community return. Even if it isn't as funny as it used to be, a proper ending would be nice.
