Still don't have that much faith in this Joker. He seems in an awkward zone of zany insanity of Hamill and subtlety of Ledger.

This looks pretty bad. The song really put me off from the very beginning.
Some of the lines they showed off were really cliche.

A History of Violence is a comic book movie.
It looks like a bad movie, it being based on a comic does not excuse that,
For someone (and most) who has never been big into the comics or stories, this looks like a good fun movie to go see with friends, and I intend on doing just that

Yeah, I don't know much of the lore or the universe, and while I feel a lot of the fanservice will be lost on me, I might enjoy it as a silly action flick.
Unless they get super dark/edgy.

Why do the outfits look so cheap? It's more like Suicide Squad cosplay than what I'd expect from a multi-million dollar budget.

I didn't, I felt like the music went well with the trailer and the trailer itself was edited with the beat of the song. Trailer didn't reveal the entire plot. Just the first half of it. As someone who hasn't read up on anything about this movie prior to this trailer, I don't know who they are fighting, why they are out of jail besides some executive who wants to build a squad of bad guys to work with the good guys. Apparently they are saving the world but from what?
It looks like a dumb action movie where the majority of characters I don't know will be doing stupid things, lot's of guns and explosions and I'll end up walking out enjoying the movie in some aspect.
