But it's not. Apparently, Microsoft has struck a deal with the devil to make this happen as the company has also said that Windows 10 will automatically install this game during the launch period of the new OS. The announcement post states:
And we're excited to be able to announce today that King will bring their game, Candy Crush Saga, to Windows 10. Candy Crush Saga will be automatically installed for customers that upgrade to or download Windows 10 during the launch!

as long as i can uninstall it it's no big deal
Oh good.... ...wait. Didn't they back down on bloatware already? EDIT: Actually, chances are you'll be able to delete it.
lol i like how they announce it like it's some sort of incentive and not just a tacked on promotional deal
as long as i can uninstall it it's no big deal
If you were to compare this to the freakout after that U2 album that appeared on people's iDevices (even though it wasn't even on their device, just available for STREAMING) after the September event, this would actually be cause for a little bit of concern. As long as it is uninstallable, then it'll stay "a little bit". The U2 album on the other hand? Not really.
How rich is King to make MS put fucking Candy Crush on the OS?
Okay, so I'll uninstall it. Big woop.
Apple might as well shut down their Mac division right now, game over
Will there be a barebones version of win10? I don't like app stores.
Apple might as well shut down their Mac division right now, game over
Chess > bejeweled.
Who even needs the Master Chief Collection now?
So that's what they meant be engaging in PC gaming
All my prayers have been answered
I dunno, how about bundling a good game, Like, I dunno Halo 3. You guys already have the engine ported.
Will there be a barebones version of win10? I don't like app stores.
To be honest, I'd think of it more like Ubuntu's package manager than an app store reminiscent of mobile. For free software, it's sort of really useful because it's easy to manage. Only paid software in your face is the issue, but I doubt people will be using it much for that reason. If you want to disable it completely I'm sure there will be a hack, but I honestly don't mind it. You'll probably be able to uninstall anything bundled easily, so, it's whatever.
Will there be a barebones version of win10? I don't like app stores.
Can't you just not use it? I haven't touched the Win8.1 app store yet.
Preordered
Luckily this will literally be Right click > Uninstall and not leave any traces. But come on, I hope Kingsoft paid a trillion for that.
I've uninstalled every "app" thing-a-ma-bob. Why do I need a full-screen version of "calculator"?
I hate how I can't access windows update without going through a app-like settings page.
Well we still have a year to claim that free upgrade. Might as well wait until it's no longer packaged with candy crush. As much as you will be able to uninstall it, I don't trust King to not put some stupid shit bundled with candy crush itself.
I hate how I can't access windows update without going through a app-like settings page.
But you can. Start > type "control panel" > windows update. Or just type "Windows Update"
I hate how I can't access windows update without going through a app-like settings page.
As mentioned above, the control panel is there exactly like it was in Windows 7. If you really dislike the app-like settings page, use that instead. Shouldn't take more than a few seconds of digging.

They should just bundle it with a remake of that pinball game you got on XP that was the shit
Of course they are.
I do hate bloatware, but for someone who isn't computer savvy with kids, if they whip out their laptop and they're bored as fuck somewhere with no internet, they can just play games on that if there's absolutely nothing to do. All they have to do is search "games" in their start menu and there's shit preinstalled. I became a master at Pinball on this shitty little laptop with Win98 in Kenya. Thank god my dad also had a CD drive extension which I could use to play Age of Empires II on, but he had to use it for work too, so whenever he was using that I could rip pinball in between AoE2.
I don't see you people complaining about Android shipping with Flappy Bird.
still haven't gotten over the fact that king stole that game
Instead of Chrome being installed as my first step, uninstalling this shit (and whatever other shit) is coming first.
Imagine waiting a year to download a new free Windows OS because of a stupid game you could easily uninstall.
As I said, King can just bundle shit with candy crush and we wouldn't have any clue. And the deal obviously won't be for a year, but maybe a month or two. The year is to claim the free upgrade. After that one year you will have to buy it like everyone else who isn't on Windows 7 or 8.
