• Chances of going pro in MMA vs. in traditional sports (football, baseball, hockey, etc.)

What do you guys think? I think becoming a professional fighter is much easier than in other sports because there are other, smaller circuits other than the UFC that people can fight in. With football, baseball, soccer, hockey, etc., there aren't nearly as many other circuits for pros other than the obvious big leagues. Now I'm not saying being a MMA fighter is easier than other sports (it really isn't), but rather becoming a pro at it sorta is. I believe there are so many people who have fantastic skills at numerous sports that just aren't pro because of things like competition, where they live/come from, lack of support, etc. I guess what I'm basically asking is: Say you have a skill level at a sport that is at the professional level and you are looking to obviously become a pro. Are your chances of becoming a professional MMA fighter better than if you were looking to become a professional football, hockey, soccer, baseball , etc. player?
I'd say yes because it's still growing.
The chance of becoming professional is still very low.
Yes, but do you want to be a modern day gladiator?
