I am here not to cause a shitstorm and not to disrespect the mods; I am merely here to alert this forum about how we misunderstand racism.

Now, the way mods here ban for "racism" is quite astounding. I personally think that they should read a dictionary before banning for what they perceive as a racist post.

An example of a post which is not racist:

The racism thing comes up a lot in the LMAO pics thread, and it kind of pisses me off that just because part of the joke is a stereotype that the poster can get banned. It's a joke, nobody is actually endorsing that view or anything remotely like that. They are laughing at it, and why not laugh about stereotypes instead of getting butthurt and banning over them?

Also I hate the term African American.
My French teacher is black, straight from Burkina-Faso, moved here like 4 years ago.
He is [i]not[/i] an American citizen. He would just be african, but that's not even a race.
He's black. I don't see what's so bad about people being black, why do we need to make up another supposedly "less offensive" term for it?
Not every black person is African-American, and that's not even really a race.

I do a little bit... there are a lot of black kids at my school who have an itchy trigger finger when it comes to pulling the racism card on everything. They throw insults, push you around, and you really can't do much because if you do you must be "racist".

And it's really a shame, because a good portion of these kids are actually smart, and are capable of getting pretty good grades.
