At the end you can see more of a 'beast' like creature than a demon. Dark Souls was under the codename 'project dark' when it was in development. I don't see why we couldn't see it being called Beast Souls.

It could very well be named Beast Souls, but he was pointing out that we only know the project's codename, so nothing is certain.

It's gonna be amazing. However, I wonder whether it's gonna be connected to the current Dark Souls formula of [There is always a kingdom. There is always a bonfire. There is always the curse.], or whether it makes a return to the Old One Awakening shtick of Demons' Souls, or whether it's its own continuity separate from the Age of Fire and the Kingdom of Boletaria?
But one thing's for certain. If it's a Souls game, there is always Patches. The Age of Fire may give way to Dark, kingdom after kingdom may fall into the maw of the Old One, the Undead may always prepare to die, but in the end there will always be Patches.

It's nicknamed that way because Dark Souls was called Project Dark.

Either way, we can definitely expect VaatiVidya to probably do a lore series on this title once it's out. After all, he's one of the main Souls "aficionados" on YouTube, so "Beast Souls" would almost certainly be a feature on his channel, especially considering he's already done a few videos concerning what we've seen so far.
It might not even be a Souls game, there's a chance it's a Shadow Tower reboot with a heavy Souls influence. But given the fact that Demon Souls has unused beast enemies on the disk and that there are items that refer to beasts it's still possible that this a Demon Souls game, which would pretty much make it a PS4 exclusive.
I hope they stick with the pretty graphics this time, and don't have to downgrade it like they did with DS2.

So, I guess I SHOULD have dark souls...
It looks like an improvement on a good formula so at the very least it will be a good game.
THis could very well be a sequel to Demon's Souls. It would make sense for the main character to use more advanced weapons like guns because the soul arts were lost when the Old One was driven back, meaning you'd need some pretty powerful alternatives for dealing with all the nasties of the Demon's Souls world, plus they already had black powder barrels and firebombs, it isn't a huge leap to firearms.
