Originally, this was going to be the track that went to my "Let's make a funny song" thread. Instead, I just made a song..
I would consider this to be the only real song I have ever completed in my life.
I usually hate everything I write, this was the first thing I kind of liked.
I'm not so good at mixing but here it is.

Tell me how it sounds on your end (and not just the melody but the mixing in particular.
I like it. The drums sound a bit harsh sometimes, with that delay you put on them. I think a little reverb would help soften the drums up. In the 'chorus' section, there's an offbeat drum hit on the left that is much too loud.
Chill out on the crazy panning and remove the really hard panned tom's, they're distracting and kind of unfitting. Other than that it's awesome, though.

Haha, thanks. Trying to get better at mixing.
Its kind of got a weird Joy Division sound to it but more modern, not bad at all. The only thing I have to say is sort out the drums with some reverb or a slight delay or something, also the drums seem to have far too much going on imo. Simplify it a bit more, more is less is my approach and there is a strange off beat drum hit in there somewhere which you should take out.
The bass needs to be more prominent but apart from all that, good work.

Definitely.. I originally made it to be a joke song, so the drums were ridiculous but once I started working on it I decided I actually wanted to make a song out of it, I just never changed the drums.
It definitely is a Joy Division/New Order rip off but hey, I had fun.

Yeah man!! Aslong as you had fun making it, thats all matters :)
It's like you're trying to mix Maps & Atlases and Crime in Choir. It just doesn't work. The drums would fit more with Maps, while the melodies would fit more with Crime in choir. There really just isn't that much harmony between the instruments, if you know what I mean.
