It wasn't what they expected when they walked into an Internet cafe Friday night in Ocala, Fla. The Marion County Sheriff's Office said the two teens tried to rob the customers inside, but one man wasn't having it. In the video, you can see 71-year-old Samuel Williams fighting back. "This guy kept popping. He didn't stop,” one witness who didn’t want to be named said. “He just kept popping, so I think he shot both of them and then they managed to get out of the door and started scrambling out the door, but we were so shocked. It happened so fast that we couldn't hardly move." Williams was one of about 30 customers in the Palm Internet Cafe when the two suspects walked in. Because of him, everyone inside was safe. Those armed teens, one with a gun and one with a bat, were chased out the door. Both of them were shot. "After he started firing, they took off,” sheriff's office spokesman Judge Cochran said. “They fell on top of each other trying to get out of the café." Davis Dawkins, 19, and Duwayne Henderson, 19, stopped by the hospital on their way to jail. Both face charges of attempted robbery with a firearm and felony criminal mischief. Dawkins was released from jail Sunday on $11,000 bond, while Henderson was released Tuesday on $31,000 bond, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said Samuel Williams has a concealed weapons permit, and will most likely not face charges thanks to Florida's Stand Your Ground law .

The sheriff's office said Samuel Williams has a concealed weapons permit, and will most likely not face charges thanks to Florida's Stand Your Ground law .
This law is actually useful for once.
oh no this content is a few weeks late it's the end of the world guess I'd better kill myself
Wow it's not that serious.
This law is actually useful for once.
When people who are actually protected under the law claim to be under the law, it works as intended. Shocking huh?
That was cool
oh no this content is a few weeks late it's the end of the world guess I'd better kill myself
There was a long thread about it here.
The fact that that law even needs to exist shows how fucked up our justice system is. This sentence:
The sheriff's office said Samuel Williams has a concealed weapons permit, and will most likely not face charges thanks to Florida's Stand Your Ground law.
Clearly states that he's not having charges pressed against him because of that law. That means if that law hadn't existed he would have been in trouble. What person in their right mind looks at that video and goes, "Hmm, better press charges against the old guy for defending everyone."

No such law exists in the UK, and homeowners are often sued by criminals for injuring themselves while breaking in.
pop pop pop watching youngsters drop
It looked like he was shooting a water gun and they were slipping because of it.
I feel bad for the robbers, hard to make a dime these days. That said, the old man made a wise choice, and this is a good example of why firearms should be allowed in more countries, in my humble opinion.

Justice is them getting caught and going to prison for their robbery. Not shooting at them and potentially killing them.

However, when robbers attempt to rob homes and businesses packed with occupants, I feel the occupants should defend themselves in anyway possible. Sure, they're likely just regular robbers, but if they're reckless enough to run into a building full of people while armed, you can't be sure. In the U.S. there have been many situations where 'robbers' have simply killed everyone inside the building they were robbing.
Wow man that was awesome! They ran like fucking bitches, tripping over each-other and shit.

I don't know anyone who were ever robbed while they were in the house at the time.
We can laugh at the kids because they lived, right? Haha, stupid kids.

I once when I was a wee lad tried to nick a bag of sweets from my local corner shop, but there was an old guy behind the counter who had tattoos and a big ass metal walking stick so ran straight out
I like how you only read the first two sentences I wrote.
i somehow misread your entire post, oopssie
it's hickock45 showing some robbers his favorite carry pistol
it's hickock45 showing some robbers his favorite carry pistol
Those robbers are lucky they weren't on a hill in front of him...
Damn son, tactical grandpa! Did you see him roll off his computer like a boss with his pistol already engaged? Then tactical pose just popping shots
They were fleeing but he carried on shooting God damn W+m1 m1 m1 m1 m1 m1 m1 grandparents.
Somehow I can't feel bad for robbers who get some lead under their skin. It's all part of the career choice that they have made. All careers have their own downsides. In this case they are possibly getting shot, punched, stabbed etc... You chose it, so don't whine about getting shot and shit. If someone tries to forcefully come to my home, steal my shit and scare my cat, that guy is also jumping aboard the pain train and WILL get to taste the business end of my meat tenderizing hammer, baseball bat, baton or whatever that happens to be within reach. If he happens to end up retarded, dead, paralyzed or whatever, that's his problem, I will happily go to court and pay myself out or sit myself out of the situation, but he will still be dead, paralyzed, retarded or whatever. Choose your careers wisely and stop whining if you get shot, because of your fucked up choices.
He reacted surprisingly quickly.
