Was v5 the one which introduced ragdoll position duplicating? That's the one I started with.
And I remember that the forums were down at the end of every month due to bandwidth issues.
I came in on the eve of the release of Garry's Mod 9, that was fun.
Same reason why the :v: emote couldn't be used as the steam icon. Garry tried to contact the creator of the SA emote or something but it didn't work out.

IIRC there was a console command that would let you stretch ragdolls again, i forgot what it was though and i dunno if it's still in the game
