WEBSITE traffic.
If you are visiting this page the chances are that you are not a human, at least according to research. A study by Incapsula suggests 61.5% of all website traffic is now generated by bots. The security firm said that was a 21% rise on last year's figure of 51%. Some of these automated software tools are malicious - stealing data or posting ads for scams in comment sections. But the firm said the biggest growth in traffic was for "good" bots
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-25346235
21 percent rise on 51 percent is 62 percent....?
Wait, so when Google went down and 40% of internet traffic stopped, that means every human could've stopped using the internet?!
21 percent rise on 51 percent is 62 percent....?
Yes. 21% of 51 is 11. You're thinking percentpoints.
21 percent rise on 51 percent is 62 percent....?
Well you know 21% of 51% is most likely 11%

The title is a bit misleading, its not 61% of internet traffic its 61% of website traffic. 61% of internet traffic would be crazy.
If all humans disappeared off the internet a substantial amount of things would still update and carry on as normal. whoa.

If we all stop using the internet it'll just be bots talking to bots. "Ice cream? God I love ice cream."
You can be anything on the internet.......so why a human?
If 61% of internet traffic is bots, and 80% of web traffic is porn, then…they hunger for our supple human buttholes!
So of that 61% how much of it is NSA spybots I wonder...
Seems like a bit of a waste (apart from search engine crawlers), much like how such a ridiculous amount of e-mail traffic is spam.
