The announcement comes after questions over Trump's repetition of a widely disproved claim that millions of "illegal" votes cost him the popular vote in the presidential election. Trump tweeted Wednesday morning that he would ask for an investigation into voter fraud, including alleged votes by undocumented immigrants, people who are allegedly registered to vote in more than one state and "those registered to vote who are dead (and many for a long time)." The president said that depending on the results of the investigation, he would call for "strengthening up voting procedures!"
NBC News Someone please take his personal account away from him.
Oh I would laugh like a jackal if after this investigation it turned out he had fewer votes than before.
:\ You fucking WON, stop with the rigged election shit.
After all the shit he pulls yesterday, he still feels he has to make his ego feel secure. Please just focus on at least attempting to fix the country. Jesus Christ.
How much voter fraud is in America? I know it didnt effect the election, but are even 1 percent of votes fraudulent?
The president said that depending on the results of the investigation, he would call for "strengthening up voting procedures!".
Does that mean that his supporters now will wear black shirts, will be armed to the teeth and threat the voters to vote him again in 2020? De ja vu.
How much voter fraud is in America? I know it didnt effect the election, but are even 1 percent of votes fraudulent?
none see above
Wow imagine calling for an investigation into non-existent voter fraud long after the fucking election got over. What a shitlord.
I'm pretty sure the end goal of this "investigation" is more measures to make sure minorities have a hard time voting
Fuck off you asshole
lol he's bitter he lost by 2 million votes what a cunt
lol he's bitter he lost by 2 million votes what a cunt
3 million* just gotta be accurate to rub it in
What a fuckin' man child. I'll admit that some of the things he posted during the campaign trail were mildly amusing, but at this point it's just embarrassing.
Oh I would laugh like a jackal if after this investigation it turned out he had fewer votes than before.
That wouldn't remove him from power though so he might as well do something good
...Sure, go right ahead donny boy.
that's the point of an investigation though, trying to find evidence that may be there
So four people? edit: Fixed the link 31 since 2000!
that's the point of an investigation though, trying to find evidence that may be there
But there was no evidence in the recounts that were held of fraud either. And there has never been enough voter fraud in any election in US history to influence the result. Plus with all the checks and balances, wide-scale fraud couldn't happen. Why do you think fraud has happened? [editline]25th January 2017[/editline]
so four people?
404's on me. Wrong link?
Hey, the media wanted some proof of voter fraud, right? Why are they suddenly complaining then if the government is launching another investigation into it? And weren't there some pretty screwy things going around with that recount in Detroit as well, stuff as ballot boxes going missing before the recount, or voter tallies not adding up there? If they can find definitive proof that that happened in more places in America, Trump could make a pretty solid case to enact national voter ID laws to prevent voter fraud like that, which, of course, would be mostly on his terms and conditions. Don't forget, he is the one in the stronger negotiation/persuasion position in such a case.

It's going to be hilarious when the findings are presented to him and he finally learns that voter fraud doesn't happen. He'll realize he cannot go public with the information or he'll look like even more of a buffoon than before.
:\ You fucking WON, stop with the rigged election shit.
If anything it shows consistency and genuinely good ethics/morals to still investigate voter fraud after winning on the very real pretense that voter fraud/hacking could have benefitted him.
Sure, if theres no evidence he shouldn't make a claim. However, theres nothing wrong with having an investigation into it to make sure that everything is in order with our voting system. It's not a bad cause and I think a lot of americans are curious about what the results might be. I don't see why people are freaking out about it
Voter ID laws pretty much universally benefit the Republican Party, don't they? What if he's trying to consolidate power?
I think you guys are too quick to hate on whatever he does, geez I mean yeah his ego probably played a part in it but this is a good thing
Voter ID laws pretty much universally benefit the Republican Party, don't they? What if he's trying to consolidate power?
generally with how they're implemented yeah there isn't anything wrong with it but you damn well include provisions to make it very easy, fast, and free to get an ID for those of whom that lack them. But historically it has been a voter disenfranchisement tool here.
I think you guys are too quick to hate on whatever he does, geez I mean yeah his ego probably played a part in it but this is a good thing
I think it's hilarious that most of the people that support this were whining about the recounts earlier, but so long as Trump conducts an actual investigation and not like, 'look, we found three idiots that committed fraud and that means the million did! ', I see no reason to oppose the idea.
I think you guys are too quick to hate on whatever he does, geez I mean yeah his ego probably played a part in it but this is a good thing
Yes, him interfering with the voting system couldn't possibly go wrong.
