So defcon 22 happened and this cool guy equipped a cat with a wifi sniffer and a dog with a thing that turns off tvs and a fake wifi hotspot
Great presentation and a great speaker, thanks for sharing!
Hilarious as hell. Wonderful video.
DEFCON is interesting stuff, anyone got ones they like? I've seen probably most of the entertaining ones. I'm not a fan of the technical stuff.
Holy crap, the DOS Dog Sounds like the most hilarious thing to do. A lot of people won't pay attention to something that small just because all it says is "SERVICE DOG", and a lot of unimportant havoc could be unleashed.

Had a good insight on why those fingerprint scanners are not a good idea

Ah I'll just post some, in link form so it won't stretch screens. The Classic, stealing from a hacker. Best place to start if you haven't seen any defcon videos other than OP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4oB28ksiIo Informative (Web attacks) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEmO7wQKCMw Entertaining (Study of firearm safes, spoiler some are not that good) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIJFQO4DIxw Informative (History of Computer Viruses, including a trip to Pakistan!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2g9lgYrYJM Entertaining (Sued for 2 billion dollars) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSWqx8goqSY Entertaining (How my Botnet Purchased Millions of Dollars in Cars and Defeated the Russian Hackers) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgz5dutPF8M Informative (Most boring one, but I like the speaker and SQL Injection is interesting) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdyQoUNeXSg Entertaining (Security flaws in the real world) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsVtHqICeKE Informative (Studying stock scams in 2005-2006, sound more boring than it is) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytDamqTjPwg Entertaining (No-Tech Hacking) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CWrzVJYLWw Fun fact on this one, someone did the exact same presentation in a TED talk (slides and everything) I don't know if he got permission, but it made me a little angry tbh. Entertaining (Unsecured servers not on the internet, but you can easily reach through a website called SHODAN. Think webcams, but BIGGER.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cWck_xcH64 Informative (3 generations of DDOS attacks with a man I wish was my father) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EAnjZqXK9E This is certainly not all, but the ones I watch every couple months because they're entertaining or informative and keep my interest. Keep on the look out for more videos in the suggestion box of these videos. I recommend all of these, except maybe the SQL one and the 3 gen of DDOS attacks if those don't interest you. If you want to know how to pick locks this guy will tell you how. Also look for his personal youtube channel where he goes into more detail, his channel is just his name. this presentation is just proof that defcon is a conference for reddit.com/r/hacking. a common joke was that defcon talks are all trendy shit like strapping routers to your dog. it isn't an interesting presentation to anyone familiar with the field(this is a problem because security people is sorta what defcon is meant to be for). quality of defcon talks has progressively degenerated

[editline]20th August 2014[/editline] in fact it's good we have funnier talks because it attracts more people to the community and keeps it more interesting than a business presentation
