a man in the Cambodian town of Samraong has perished after what police believe was an attempt to scare villagers with a clown mask and threatening behaviour. The man was allegedly chased into the jungle by angry villagers, where he stumbled into a landmine and was killed in the ensuing blast.
RIP idiot.
I don't say he deserved to be killed but all of this is entirely his fault.
Had he not chosen to act like an idiot, he would still be alive..
What a bozo.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Im wondering what the landmine was doing there so close to a village... then again its fucking Cambodia
Holy fuck though, the dude got blown up by a landmine
Haha, that's hilarious.
that's a hell of a headline

Probably a vestigial mine from Vietnam.

The Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) estimates that there may be as many as four to six million mines and other pieces of unexploded ordnance in Cambodia.
Roughly twenty people are killed per year by landmines in Cambodia, with another 50-80 injured. The country has 40,000 amputees, a higher rate than any other country, mostly due to landmines.

its a terrible situation, i can't imagine needing to worry about being killed by explosives placed dozens of years ago

Clown defense is getting serious
Those big shoes probably did him no favors.
i wonder if he blew up with confetti flying all over the place, a big long toooot drowning out the explosion, slowly dying off as his soul was once again reunited with the big clown mastermind up above

real talk though this is pretty terrible... but it was easily avoidable
*distant boink*
That fucking title holy shit.

Sounds like he was pulverized since the body was totally unidentifiable. Explosions are some scary shit

I think most the mines in Cambodia were planted by the Khmer Rouge during the Cambodian Civil War.
I'm more concerned that the clown epidemic has spread to fucking Cambodia of all places. At this rate, it's only a matter of time before it turns into a full blown pandemic.
That's one pie you really don't want in your face.
This is like something I'd expect from Monty Python. It's hilarious because it's just so fucking bizarre lol.

The article I read said the prime suspect / victim was a student that had been reported missing at around the same time. He was studying in America and had returned to his village in Cambodia to visit family. It's possible he got the idea while here, then tried to do it over there and failed terribly.

In a roundabout way he's right as even more were planted (and the ones already planted left there) during the insurgency in the 1980s when the Vietnamese army occupied the country.
im so glad i live in florida
