Steam 732897 has stopped working - General

I went on to my computer this morning and to my surprise, Steam crashed on startup. The dialog box is read as follows: Microsoft Windows [B]Steam 732897 has stopped working[/B] A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. However, it logs successfully on to my secondary account, but when I retry my regular account, I get the same error. So what? Sometimes my steam does this randomly. Just restart Steam.

I've started it up 5 times already and Steam refuses to start via my normal username. It logs on to my secondary one, on which I only have two games through the NVidia offer. Half-Life 2: Deathmatch and Half-Life 2: Lost Coast.

It's not a crash, it's simply Steam refusing to launch at all. It won't even start.

Steam development and support and valve dev teams are seperate. When steam will not start, it is usually to do with the update news crashing. Just keep trying and be patient.
