So I know Facepunch is full of crafty internet detectives, and also loves puppies. There's a photo being passed around online communities at the moment (I saw it on tumblr) showing two young males abusing and presumably killing a small puppy. This is the photo: DO NOT CLICK IF YOU ARE EASILY AFFECTED BY VIOLENT IMAGES. Here is a censored version showing their faces. If you know or recognise either of these men, please alert the authorities. If you feel you can help to find them, please do, and post any finds in this thread so we can help.
"Violent images"? Heck, if it weren't for the string hanging down you'd just thing they were posing next to a magical floating dog. BRING ON THE BOXES
Pathetic scumbags. What makes them think to have the right to take away some small animals right to life? Penalties are not tough enough for this kind of crime.
4chan may actually be of more help. They helped catch that one kid. Sorry by one kid I meant the cat basher guy. Many people know of it I just didn't know a name.
They helped catch that one kid.
Thats oddly specific
I think he's referring to the Dusty the Cat shenanigans.
And that one bitch who threw puppies in the river.
we are not your personal army.
we are not your personal army.
And this isn't applying to him, it's applying to the puppy.
we are not your personal army.
everyone is a puppy's personal army

Whats that picture searching website, that finds the face over a billion pictures.
But seriously though, cover up the string and tell me it does not just look like a floating dog.
I can't unsee the tightened string around its neck. [editline]2nd July 2011[/editline]
Whats that picture searching website, that finds the face over a billion pictures.
If you mean TinEye, I tried that already without much luck. Feel free to tinker around with it though, I'm not that internet-savvy.
i dont know how you can look at something that cute and innocent and take its life away (not counting medical reasons and all that). ive never had a pet until a year ago, but i cant imagine ever hurting my pet, or anyone elses.

Google can now search by images, too, you know.
Not to bring you or the thread down, but it was just one dog. I would understand if the dog was stolen or something, but it wasn't. It was their dog and they can do whatever they damn well please with it. Isn't the domestic dog population beginning to reach into the billions? Perhaps a bit of culling wouldn't be bad for the species as a whole. Frankly, I've never gotten this whole 'feel sympathy towards animals' thing with the internet. I mean, I could understand if it was an animal you had owned and grown attached to over the long time you've had it, but again, this isn't your dog and it wasn't stolen from anyone. It's their dog. One dead dog isn't going to affect anything, yet you treat it like it's some god damn Earth moving change. I figure I would like to add that I, too, own a dog. Two dogs, actually. The first died when we moved houses, as it was very old and generally was in poor health (bitten by a wild coyote, leukemia if I recall correctly, etc.) I was rather young at the time so I couldn't fully understand the concept of our dog's death. Now I look back at it and am truly saddened, he was a great dog. As for the second, we got it fairly recently. I could never get myself to exhibit violence towards it, I simply am not that type of person, and I would be saddened if something were to happen to it. Again, this is because it's my dog, and I have a reason to care about it. Seeing a random dead dog/puppy doesn't bother me in the same way I feel towards the death of our first dog. In fact, I feel nothing at all. Call me an apathetic heartless bastard, shower me in boxes and disagrees, I don't really care. I just figured I would contribute my two pence.

I like how facepunch gets more angry about dead animals than dead people actually I dont like that

its because of the fact that animals are helpless and dont do anything to hurt anyone, except for the ones that get put down for a reason. dont get me wrong, im no PETA douche or something like that, i dont just obsessively feel for animals, but you see a picture of two douche bags, hanging a cute puppy that probably never did anything wrong, yeah it kinda strikes me as messed up. as far as they they own it mindset.. first of all there's laws against that in civilized parts of the world, so literally no they cant. and you basically own your kids, doesnt mean you can do whatever you want to them. i know kids and animals are two completely different arguments, but with that mindset...
Damn Really? The smiles on there faces just make me sick!?! these guys are just fucked up

How many serial killers do you think started out like this?

The answer, despite your protest, would be no. That's the problem I have with people who feel sympathy towards anonymous animals in situation where they are being killed/are killed, usually only if the animal is aesthetically pleasing. This in itself is hypocrisy, yet it is a common hypocrisy. I frankly don't think that a common idea is automatically justified in the right, no matter how you look at it, it stills exists on the postulate that a hypocritical base had to be established for the viewpoint to exist.
That's a valid point of view, but if someone hangs a puppy and posts pictures on the internet of them doing gangsta poses behind it as it slowly chokes to death then that person is dangerous and needs to be dealt with by the proper authorities. How many serial killers do you think started out like this?
About as many that formed from playing violent video games, from playing with airsoft guns/nerf guns/etc., from watching/listening to violent media/music, etc. Terrible argument, don't use it.
while in the grand scheme of things one dead dog (or indeed one dead anything or anyone) may not mean that much, the fact that they pose in the picture all "look how hARdcOre we are we hang a puppy lol" shows that they need to be re-educated [editline]2nd July 2011[/editline] also, i very much disagree with the "they own it, they can do whatever they want to it" mindset
For the first argument, refer to the first paragraph. As for the second, I would have to agree that the argument isn't valid in certain cases, but I find it to be justified here. They could have mutilated the dog and cooked its flesh as a meal if they wanted to, because it's their property, much like how a cow is property to a farm, for either milking or selling as meat product. This is one of the main issues I have with animal rights laws, to what extent do they apply?
this post is the beacon of reason in this thread.
Did a puppy bite you as a child or something
Call PETA, problem solved
if i saw some nasty looking lizard being chopped up by douche bags and theyre smilling? yeah i would think thats fucked up, so dont tell me my opinion. the point of my argument doesnt revolve around the part that the puppy is cute, it's the sick fucks that do that shit. and if you think thats okay, you do realize that almost all serial killers start by killing animals? because they become insensitive to the idea of taking away something elses life for their enjoyment. so yeah, it is psychologically fucked to kill things for fun. im sorry.
