I have some severe genetic shit where my spine is all fucked up. I'm constantly in pain, losing sleep and not eating enough. Perfect job for weed, right? I'm seeing a doctor this week and I'm 80% sure I'll get the card.
I've never even smoked before but I'm positive it'll help. What I'm asking is what it's like having a medical card, I live in Manitoba. How does it work? How is it? Last time I checked, compassion clubs were illegal in Canada.

If growing your own is an option then yes, do that.
You can grow your own, find a designated grower, get the shitty Health Canada weed, or join some kind of club like the one I linked above (they'll also help you find a designated grower if you choose to). Look at the link I posted, my mom goes through them and soon I will be too. They would definitely be your best bet.
But if I were to grow it, wouldn't it take months before I could use it?

yeah but once ur set up you dont have to worry about your medicinal strain being out of stock. plus you have your own quality control
Simple, you start the grow now, and buy it until your grow is ready. It doesn't really take a genius to work that out.
