Supernovas expell their material at vast speeds over vast distances. They don't need to particulary be near in order to recieve material from them, especially over a long period of time.

Compared to its total lifespan, the Universe is in its infancy.

IIRC, Kurzgesagt was a german channel before it started translating into english and, finally, splitting their german channel off completely.
Not to mention english speakers a pretty sizable chunk of earth population compared to german. Ranking 3rd behind mandarin and spanish.
