This remains the case, but sources have told Eurogamer that subsequent re-certification as a result of a title update is now free. This applies to Xbox Live Arcade games and full retail games.

UPDATE #2: Microsoft's director of programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb and Xbox corporate vice president Marc Whitten have both confirmed the dropped update charges on Twitter. Both stated, "Microsoft eliminated fees for Title Updates on Xbox 360 Arcade games in April 2013." "You forgot to tell people," Phil Fish responded.
Well, that's uh 7 years too late
"You forgot to tell people," Phil Fish responded.
isn't this the fez guy? who listens to that asshole anymore
isn't this the fez guy? who listens to that asshole anymore
Shrug, at least he's trying to get Fez for 360 patched but who knows.
isn't this the fez guy? who listens to that asshole anymore
People who want to laugh at his massively inflated ego. Like me.
isn't this the fez guy? who listens to that asshole anymore
Phil Fish is not the focus of this thread, nor is he alone in his sentiments. $40,000 was allegedly the magic number for developer patches, regardless of whether the developer was big-time or independent. Why would Microsoft wait until June to say anything about this, when they dropped the fees in April? (Nevermind that the exorbitant fee never should have existed in the first place)
isn't this the fez guy? who listens to that asshole anymore
Didn't that guy say he didn't consider PC a gaming platform or something?

Its funny how everyone likes to think MS were the only patch charging offenders of the last gen. Nintendo charged 10k for every patch after the first, Sony charged 35k or 40k (conflicting figures) after the first or second patches (again conflicting reports) and MS charged 40k after the first patch.
yep
at least he's honest v:v:v
yep
Glad I didn't buy that cunt's game.
