I've been on DD on and off for the past 3 years or so. I can say that if it weren't for this section, I wouldn't be the person I am today. The first time I ever dropped DXM was because of DD. DD helped educate me on the greatness of weed, and prompted me to try it. I can say that because of DD I am a much less ignorant person, and I can't thank you guys enough for the impact you've had on my life, whether it be teaching me, or listening when I had something to say. Me and DD, bros 4 lyfe
My parents went to DD and all I got was this lousy shirt.
Made me aware of more drugs, and made me very knowlegable about drugs.
all its done for me is make me jelly of how often you guys get to smoke :v: but seriously, its taught me a lot about durgs and how misunderstood it is.
Got more information about drugs, got support from the bros, and had great fun in general. <3 DD
had me buy my own bong for the first time :v:
DD got me interested enough in weed to buy a mini bong and pipe. It showed me that smoking weed isn't all about just eating lots of food and being lazy. There's an entire culture to it, and not all weed is the same. Not all strains couch-lock you, it's definitely different to know the truth, I was really ignorant before.
This thread is depressing. You should all learn this stuff through real-life experiences. And people wonder why internet is bad.

For example reading about DXM and how to and how to not experiment with it. There are more depressing things :v:
This thread is depressing. You should all learn this stuff through real-life experiences. (minus medical studies - twas all propaganda at this time) I'm just saying, its not healthy to learn the majority of your experiences behind an electric screen.
No they didnt, they just did the drugs without much research most of the time and way more people would have died. A typical drug user in the 70's would not have been able to get decent information other than word of mouth stuff about illegal drugs.

That usually leads to a lot of talking, including exchanging of information. Even though people overdose on drugs, it doesn't mean they didn't know they're doing it wrong/too much of it. A lot of times people just don't care.
Still, If I believed all the drug advice I've had from other drug users I would be incredibly misinformed, just because exchanging of information went on it does not mean it was correct information. And yes a lot of times peple dont care but im pretty sure more times they did not know they were doing it wrong/too much of it.
gave me something to do
gave me something to do
Thats what I'm talkin' about
Just made me more knowledgeable on other drugs besides weed. (I already know enough.)
Schadenfreude
Like reading through the threads, some can contain quite some very interesting stuff or information. Although I'm not very active on here, or any forum for that matter, I like exchanging info, ideas and whatnot. It's also nice to read some of the shit here before going to bed, this place can cheer me up sometimes.

My experiences aren't behind a screen. I learn about the drugs beforehand, I can't ask my fucking drug dealer about interactions with other drugs because he won't know fuck all except "it gets you fucked man". I guarantee you when people were out and about in the 70's, most people didn't know that some drugs should not be taken together, not because "they just don't care", but because they didn't have the information readily available to them
I always turned down weed, because I didn't know much about it other than what people told me. I don't trust anyone at all, and I was already against smoking because of inhaling secondhand tobacco smoke all my life. It wasn't until I looked up pages and pages of info on the internet that I trusted smoking marijuana. Then the next time my friend offered, I accepted, and it was fun.
It taught me that people on the internet has much cooler smoking instruments than me :(
It decided where I should go eat one night. Mind you, it was an excellent choice. Thanks DD, <3
I'm surprised how ignorant people were before they came to the DD. Almost all my drug knowledge I've had since before I came here. v:v:v
without DD, i would be fucked thenks for the knowledge bros
