Thought it'd be best to ask here rather than spends hours looking everywhere for reviews/band names and end up missing the better ones or less known ones. I don't know of very many! Just like, Nightwish and maybe Stratovarius and Symphony X.

Dimmu Borgir incorporate alot of symphonic metal into their music, but if you don't like black metal, don't listen to them.

WHERE THE FUCK IS KAMELOT?! [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDvYXHXczO8[/media] I fucking LOVE Kamelot. One of the best bands of this genre if you ask me.

Yeah, Kamelot is really fucking great.

Most of Kamelot's stuff blows. Got some really nice tracks though, like [I]The Fourth Legacy[/I], [I]Karma[/I], and [I]Center of the Universe[/I].

They started with a different singer, different sound, and it was TERRIBLE. Everything before Siege Perilous was with said singer, and it was all shit. My favorites from them are The Black Halo and Ghost Opera (albums), but Epica was also pretty awesome.

Yeah, the albums with Roy Khan are the best. My favorite is probably Epica, closely followed by The Black Halo. Roy is a really good singer, and also a very cool person.

Hard to explain. I just think he sounds more "real". Roy sounds sort of synthetic. But I don't know... Like I said, I'm not much of a Kamelot fan, so I don't care too much.

Kamelot is okay, a few of my friends are pretty big fans of them. Nice suggestions guys got quite a list now, saved me a ton of time which is usually why I'm so lazy getting into different genres. :v:
