I found it funny. [sp]Since the youtube video was taken down due to copyright bullshit, you'll have to click the link[/sp] http://www.funnyordie.com/articles/ebf5e34fc8/10-hours-of-walking-in-nyc-as-a-man I hope this doesn't cause any stupid controversy.
I hope this doesn't cause any stupid controversy.
anyone who gets mad at this is one of those people who wake up every morning like "hmm, what can i pretend to be shocked and offended by today?"

That fucking outro message had me in stitches :v:
i thought this would be a ten hour long video of a man walking through NYC
Holy shit, why have I not heard of the original video, 15 million views in 2 days, jesus fuck
I dont know how i missed this here, any thread link?
I don't see how greeting someone or wishing them a good day is sexism
I don't see how greeting someone or wishing them a good day is sexism
Do you really think they give two shits about her day?
I don't see how greeting someone or wishing them a good day is sexism
How often do u see gross old men greeting young men and asking how their day is going
Do you really think they give two shits about her day?
So, I should complain about every clerk, cashier at shops/banks, or any person working in retail because they don't actually mean it when they wish me to have a nice day?
I dont know how i missed this here, any thread link?
oh no she's getting complimented and wished a good day (admittedly because she's hot) she looks pretty pissed off throughout the entire video, maybe some of those people were just trying to be nice and cheer her up a little bit, being from new york i can say that walking through NYC i've encountered some of the most polite and friendly people you can think of who genuinely just want to spread some positivity sure there's a couple creepy dudes that follow her and don't get the message, but over the course of 10 hours that's not that bad considering it's NYC, you see a lot of weird people sometimes [editline] . [/editline] "if you want to help, please donate to hollaback! a non-profit dedicated to ending street harrassment" where exactly would my donation go? would they hire ninjas to jump in and bitch slap people that say hello to attractive women?
Its not not any of those guys said "ayy gurl want some fuk"? This whole thing is stupid, you are in New York, guys are gonna look around, just tell them "No thank you" and they will leave.
Do you really think they give two shits about her day?
wow thinking all men just want to get their dick wet how sexist of you
How often do u see gross old men greeting young men and asking how their day is going
I get greeted by random old people occasionally, generally the old people are the ones who say good morning/afternoon, have a nice day/night to just about everyone. [editline]30th October 2014[/editline] Also the donation button on their page is bigger than their logo on the top left.
fuck i wish some random people would just come up and carry me around that'd be swell
really though on the flipside i think men would enjoy receiving compliments over 100 times over the timespan of 10 hours, and it seems like most of the guys in the original video aren't that attractive and that is partly why it's considered 'harassment' i bet if brad pitt strolled by and said "what's up beautiful have a good day" she woulda broke her silence real fucking quick
I can attest that this happens to me (a white male) all the time whenever I go to my downtown area.

It's a helpful perspective to understand why it's not so cool when you're just trying to walk somewhere. News flash: if you happen to be an attractive person in a big bustling city odds are you're more likely to attract attention, sometimes negative. This has nothing to do with sexism or discrimination of any kind, it's human beings seeking interaction with human beings who exhibit qualities they find attractive. It's not like every other person who interacts with the same pretty girl knows about the other guys who did the same, it's not some giant patriarchal conspiracy to make pretty girls uncomfortable, it's just part of the human condition and there's not much to be done about it, especially not by giving your money to some half brained campaign. People are gonna be jerks or not mind their own business regardless of gender or color.
What annoys me about the original video and all the outrage it sparked is that men are the one's expected to initiate conversations with women and taking the first steps. Some men take the opportunity at every chance. You have to try if you want to get somewhere, and some comments in the video were genuinely nice and could have turned into some real conversation in the real world. People are getting angry at men for doing what men are expected to do. Why not just geld the entire male population of the world while we're at it.

I don't get how someone just sending a quick compliment and well-wish on the street is can be considered harassment, unless they take it too far (like the guy walking with her, that was pretty WTF) or are vulgar of course. Again, of course, some of it definitely could be offensive: guys overtly looking at her features and getting too close, but for 10 HOURS in New York city that's actually pretty tame. I'm not sure what the video is really trying to get at. It's not like her boss at work is harassing her or an employee of a store, you cant throw money and attempts at "change" at scumbags in one of the biggest cities in the country. http://www.reddit.com/r/TwoXChromosomes/comments/2kry4i/a_simple_explanation_of_why_compliments_greetings/
this definitely was somewhat enlightening, and i can see why it might be annoying, but honestly NYC is kind of a special case. Even I, an average looking 20 yr/old male has gotten more than my fair share of some creepy experiences walking down the streets on Manhattan mid-day. It's just sort of how things are there
If approaching a woman and talking to her because you are attracted to her is sexist and bad then goodbye mankind. No more relationships, no more sex, no more nothing. How about forcing women to approach men and initiate contact because the genders are supposed to be equal? And don't forget all the articles about where the good men have gone, how nowadays guys are not growing up, and are selfish because they only care about their hobbies like videogames or driving motorcycle
I can't help but feel I wouldn't want people calling out to me all day almost every day. It would get really tiring and would be creepy. It's not like she is walking by shooting glances at everybody. She is just walking with no expression on her face. Just like I do everyday, and I don't even get sales people calling out to me. It's obviously because she was a woman, she got the catcalls. It would be interesting to see what would happen if a comparable woman walked around the streets dressed shabby and hiding her "figure".

The youtube video has been blocked by funny or die inc. on copyright grounds?
The youtube video has been blocked by funny or die inc. on copyright grounds?
It was a reupload.
feminazi shit like this is going to somehow lead to making it illegal for men to talk to women they don't know.
