he covers pretty much all of the same ground that diehards like Super Bunnyhop did (or me and my friends, who have spent night upon night just ranting, losing track of time till the sun literally comes up [no seriously this happened to us at least 5 times]), but it's really interesting to see how someone who's a series newbie all things considered reaches the same conclusion as the people who spent over a decade looking into -everything- about the games
it just goes to show how much of a jarring mess MGS5 was, great game but by metal gear standards its just a wet rag

He's not necessarily a newbie, he's just not been through the series absolutely thoroughly. But yeah, it's pretty easy to see how much MGSV dropped the ball in the story department, although he didn't mention the [sp]Paz subplot[/sp] at all surprisingly. Probably didn't find it due to not liking Mother Base exploration during his story-focused playthrough.

Some might be annoyed that we bring up the thumbnail all the time but it's literally up for discussion, like the video itself. And as long as he doesn't change the thumbnail, some of us wont stop directing our focus on it.

I don't really mind that they don't like the thumbnail art, they're entitled to their own opinions. I'm annoyed about the fact they have an insatiable urge to repeat the same shit OVER AND OVER again like it's the most hilarious and entertaining thing. It's like a lot of memes (especially forced ones) in that it's sometimes funny the first few times but gets old and annoying REALLY quick to the point where you can't even enjoy it in an extremely ironic or "so bad it's good" sense.

The only thing people here find dumb and not like about Johnny's videos is the thumbnail art (which honestly, I don't find [B]THAT[/B] bad. Ok admittedly, it's not great, but I don't find it that terrible, as I have seen MUCH worse things on the internet, so I give it 5/10 overall. Not great, but not terrible either), everything else about his videos people here do seem to actually really enjoy.
And besides, the only reason why I keep posting Johnny's reviews here is because, well there [B]are[/B] people here who do seem to enjoy the guy's stuff (myself included), and hell, most of the time whenever me or someone else (mostly me though admittedly) post one of Johnny's reviews and people aren't complaining about the thumbnail, they're either met with positive reactions, or an overwhelmingly overall reaction of "...ehh".
If you don't like the guy's videos, fine. That's entirely your opinion. But to say that [B][I]everyone[/I][/B] thinks that Johnny's videos are dumb and nobody likes them, now that's just straight-up bullshit.

But nobody hates the video because nobody watches the video. I don't think it's fair at all to call something dumb when you don't even give it a chance.
However, I'd be ok with johnny's videos not being posted anymore. All it causes is arguments and bitching.

I'm fairly sure that a good chunk of the people who comment on the thumbnail didn't watch the video at all or at most like a tiny portion of it. Your acting like, with the exception of people like Azelf89 and myself, everyone who's seen a Johnny Vs. thread here on Facepunch shares your opinion. In other words, you're making quite the generalization. Also, nice try at an epic witty zinger :v:
