At one point in the clip Mr Rudd slams his hands on his desk while demanding the ''dickheads at the embassy'' give him simple sentences.''Don't have the fucking patience to do it … This is fucking Chinese interpreter up again … Ohh … just fuckin' hopeless,'' Mr Rudd says.It has been claimed the footage was recorded in the Prime Minister's sitting room, but it is not known who recorded it or when exactly the recording took place.It was posted anonymously on Youtube by user "HappyVegemiteKR".Fairfax newspapers quote Labor Party insiders as saying the release could have been aimed at discrediting Mr Rudd from within his office or the party.The video has been published at a time when the ruling Labor Party is beset by leadership tension.A spokeswoman for Mr Rudd responded to the clip this evening, telling the [I]Sydney Morning Herald: '"the Foreign Minister has never made any secret of the fact that he sometimes swears"."He regrets any offence that might be caused by the release of this selectively edited footage recorded a number of years ago," she said.
A spokeswoman for Julia Gillard said it was "ridiculous" to imply the tape came from someone in her office.
