BIONICLE 2015 "Official" Set Pictures (Most of them) - General

The designs look pretty cool, though I dunno how good those parts will be for fucking around when it comes to building glad to see Bionicle coming back though

not sure about some of them but tahu looks fucking cool he's got gold swords and surfboard flaming swords, fucking armed to the teeth.

Jesus, Kopaka hit the gym since the Phantoka sets.

I still prefer the classic look of the older generation, with less detailish stuff But Bionicle is back, im not gonna complain

Kopaka looks great, Tahu, too. Pohatu is alright but I can't say I'm that excited about Gali and Lewa.

Tahu and Kopaka are spot-on, definitely picking those two up. Pohatu bears a passable resemblance to his older selves, dunno about him having boomerangs though since he was always the big mother with steel-toed boots. Gali and Lewa don't really look anything at all like their old selves, sadly. Probably won't pick them up. No pictures of Onua in that batch? That's a shame. I wanted to get a good look at him to see if his mask was any good.

They don't look like Bionicle sets, they look like Hero Factory with less guns. And no Onua?

Lewa doesn't look nearly as cool as he used to and Gali looks far too masculine. I was never too fond of the later Bionicle designs but the others look cool enough, I might pick them up for the sake of nostalgia. I'm surrounded by my old collection as I write this because I've had a blast reassembling them over the past couple of days.

ever since hero factory the new designs have just been lacking in.... charm? i feel like they traded complexity for play-ability with all the snap-on armor and movable joints, but nearly every design is streamlined to this bright and bulky, armored look that is lacking the traditional look of Bionicle where is has the weird ass little details like cogs and gears and spikes and the whole "ancient and complex machine" feel to it in favor of a "futuristic, sleek, armored machine" feel, if that makes sense. i dunno, i'll still probably get one to build for nostalgia's sake. also those weird fists look odd unless they're pointing forward at all times, or they look like a limp wrist. i miss the classic hand pieces.

Pohatu lacks kicky feets, kopaka has no shield, too much gold in general 3/10 will still buy them all

Buying the shit out of Tahu. It's like they took the original Toa Nuva design of him and put it on steroids. I love it. [editline]29th September 2014[/editline] Actually, you know what, I'm buying all of them. The revamped designs are invoking a different kind of nostalgia in my soul, and I want all of it.

I always wanted Lewa Mata but never got him so I'm definitely getting him this time around. Might try give him a big two-hander instead though.

I was planning on getting Lewa when I wasn't sure if the images on majhost were finalized and they were blurry as hell, but then I saw motherfucking Kopaka and seeing the more detailed Lewa, he looked ehh.

I'll probably grab Tahu and Kopaka. Although I'm really not a fan of the random gold.

I hated the movies even as a kid for that reason. Still, they manage to look a lot better than what I was afraid of with Hero Factory's influence!

I think they look good, they don't look as good as 2001 to 2005 bionicle but they sure as hell look better then the fucking phantoka era shit sets or hero factory.

Yeah, Kopaka looks the best to me, too, but to be honest I always prefered Kopaka over Tahu. That sword, shield and cool mask. Sad they went with boomerangs instead of big feet for Pohatu.

Didn't the first HF sets have alot of bionicle pieces on them but then made the new and unique stuff for the other sets? I can see the same happening to the bionicle reboot, especially since all of the old bionicle pieces were retired
