$50 for that? No.
Remember, it's a 10% discount you're missing out on here.
I'll rather play the xbox 360 version than the PC. Is this a port?
yeah
just rent it for 360, you'll only play it through once probably
I heard the controls for the PC version of re4 were horrible. Hope they fixed it at least. Oh well, if they fail at it, I've got my gamepad.
Wait it's coming to PC?
Oh boy I'm late
I'll wait for the 50% off sale.
I'll wait for the 50% off sale.
This too. I kinda regret paying with only a 10% discount on Street Fighter 4 now.
I have it on 360 but having it on PC would probably make it a lot easier to play. I'll wait for a bigger sale.
So what's so special about the PC Version that I should get it? New weapons? New gamemodes? I'm not gonna buy it just because its on the PC.
Knowing the port track record, I'd be cautious. But seriously, $50? Jesus, hopefully they fucking added in a better aiming system and maybe ragdolls.
Though in the benchmark they had neither so guess not.
HOLY CRAP WHAT IS WITH THE PC-EXCLUSIVE OUTFITS?!

Steam really is uncompetitive with these new releases.

Isn't it the developers that decide on the game's price?
Isn't it the developers that decide on the game's price?
Yes, but even so, the developers should at least have the sense it costs them less to sell via direct download than it does to print the boxes, disks and manuals and sell them to stores.
Like the Steam Winter Sale where every single game is on sale. amirite?
Possibly but even then, RE5 would probably be 10% off again.
[editline]09:34AM[/editline]
Not to mention I don't want to purchase something that may be poorly optimized. Remember RE4's crappy PC port?

Ain't that badly optimized actually, I tried the benchmark earlier (Gameplay one) and got an average of 122 on highest settings so it's certainly a good port.
I got to play this at PAX, the controls are much improved from the shitty RE4 port. I usually suck at RE5 on consoles because of the analog stick, but with the mouse and keyboard I was getting headshots everywhere and killing zombies like there was no tomorrow.

Actually the price isn't that bad. For £26.99 GBP it's actually pretty cheap considering it's a new game. In this case you would be looking at prices of up to £39.99 GBP ($66.76 USD).
[editline]05:42PM[/editline]
And much rarely even £50 GBP ($83.48 USD) (As is the case when I bought Spore in stores on the first day of release).

Sounds like the Wii version of RE4. Much easier to get headshots because of the reticule and the improved aiming with the Wii remote. Aiming with the mouse sounds incredible.
Although, now that I think about it, My school does have the game in the Library for the 360, so I might just borrow it instead of spending the extra money...
Look's like its coming to the pc. YAY!!!!

If the controls are up to scratch, i'll buy it in a heartbeat. I fucking love resident evil, but I can never finish the first one... remake or original... too scary :(

Hence why I found it for £18.95? PC games are barely ever over £25 unless it's a big release like Call of Duty or Crysis.

In stores they're frequently at least £35, it's just when you go on the internet, and get games that are converted ($50 american game is about £25 english game, as opposed to a £40 game which is about $80)
