What exactly is amazing about iron being twisted?

Go twist some Iron and then come back.
I'm waiting

That something so hard and strong can be bent and shaped cold as if it where plastic is wonderful to see. considering it took me 20 minutes at a blacksmiths to make a single twisted fence post by hand.
Look at all the money you're saving!
Some of that stuff is so simple, like the hydraulic table, but the modular design lets you use it nearly like a brake press.
not porn porn
Will It Bend? That is the question.
Well, it's iron... so sure.

it is indeed pretty cool to look at
thanks for the boxes, twats :)
I wish I had one of those machines to make my own expensive-as-hell fences.
I'll get 20!
That's actually pretty sweet, when I did a bit of welding and metal work back in the day. Nothing to that extent we had some tools that basically allowed us to punch, press and shape metal and made a world of difference.
I could see this being a tool for a small business (specially when it comes to indoor and outdoor work) that separates them from their competitor. They can hire a smaller staff and do just as much work, making the business more profitable because of lower-costs.
First thing I thought about when I saw that twisting machine is my foot being caught in it.

I wouldn't say the foot necessarily, but I did keep thinking that it would suck to get something snagged in one of the spinning machines
It's cooool guuuyy
Machine + Arms = Pain.
It amazes me that THIS is how they do so much of that stuff. I never really think of metal bending or twisting like that. I expect it to just snap or something...
Usually when I see shaped metal, I assume it was melted down and put into a mold.

You would be surprised how some of things in metal industry are made. Google for "Friction welding"
Anyone else got constantly reminded of Toe Joe & Earl because of the starting music?
its better than sex
I was going to post this after seeing it on DRB, but I thought it wasn't cool enough.
Dammit Facepunch, you ruined my standards.
