Gotta remove the s from https if I recall. [editline]9th December 2013[/editline] I have nothing against the list but this guy is irritating.
Please make it a law that every time a debate is had about video game effects on violence, Someone who actually plays a lot of videogames must be participating on the debate. Sincerely, Everyone who knows anything about games.

Sincerely, Everyone who knows anything about games.
There should always be expert opinion/testimony involved whenever any type of legislation is being prepared. Even the most intelligent legislator cannot possibly be expected to know enough about every subject that they will face. I've never seen or heard of a person involved in video games being present in debates or discussion of attempts to form legislation. It makes me shudder to think of what other subjects legislators blindly vote on without having any proper information about them.
You know, I'm honestly not surprised Jack Thompson was mentioned multiple times in the video.
Can we make a law that Jack Thompson has to pay $247,000 back to the taxpayers ever time he opens his mouth? $490,000 if he's in a court for whatever reason.
Does this guy remind anyone else of Q from Star Trek in the way he talks? I kinda meant the way his voice sounds, but I guess not.

You could legalize gay marriage, ensure debates about anything are more informative etc. just by including people who know about the subject material.
decent video, but the guy talks very slowly which drags on the video a bit.
decent video, but the guy talks very slowly which drags on the video a bit.
Thats because if he speaks faster, we'll all cum violently.
the title reminds me of another stupid thing said about video games
I laughed at the Phoenix Wright reference. Coulda said anything typical like "it's not rocket science" but nope, instead " you don't have to be phoenix wright"
Jesus Christ that mass effect quote brings back the absolute rage I felt when fox had that "discussion" about mass effect, and they actually had someone on the show who had played mass effect, and they completely ignored him and spoke over him.
Why'd my mother have to be in the room when that rape statistics line came up.
This guy has an infectious laugh. [editline]9th December 2013[/editline] Also, talking about the PS2 controller vibration. We've had things like this since the N64, we have it on our PHONES now for christ's sake.
Oh my GOD that Mass Effect quote I guess all the other stuff is just things you do in games blown out of proportion, but it's clear as day that person has never even touched Mass Effect, the fucking character creation screen proves them wrong.
His response to the cocaine comparison was gold. [editline]9th December 2013[/editline] Oh god, I could tell almost without any fault which quotes were Thompson's. It's like he's a caricature of cartoon characters.
I made a thread about #14 a while ago: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1229639&highlight= Videogames can be art and in fact they are in museums
This guy makes some good points and has made some pretty great videos, but I always get the creeping suspicion that he's a total sociopath whenever I watch him for too long.
The second to last one had me scared for humanity. 67% believe video games are more dangerous than guns? Good thing I looked at the survey, apparently 72% of the people polled are 46 and older.

That guy was pre-crisis Geoff Keighley
I knew Jack Thompson was a stupid motherfucker but his quotes still amaze me. I think we need some kind of age-restriction when it comes to videogame laws etc. Older than 50? You have no business in this debate.
That Mass Effect quote was just... wow. Literally just pulling shit out of nowhere.

He's attractive.
His laugh and the cocaine comment are hilarious. But holy shit, the people quoted, especially Jack Thompson, need some education on the games they spew shit about.
