So I've been wanting to map out some drums on FL for my band and I noticed I can't go past 16 measures and I was curious to how I should change the tempo in certain spots and mid song for time changes.
Assuming FL works like other DAWs that I have more experience with, there should be a button somewhere to edit the next set of measures (you will also have to change the settings so that it will play the extra measures) as for tempo, I've noticed a lot of software doesn't let you change tempo in one spot- I may be wrong though, as I have never used FL.
i don't think you can change the tempo for previous spots; what you need to do is change it so that sequences snap to every 1/4 step, then you can just double time the beats and it'll sound just as well
Okay OP, bare with me as I'm using FL7, but it should be useful to you.
To solve your 16 steps problem, the only solution I can offer is that you use different drum patterns. if you need a pattern longer than 16 steps, (ie 24) use 2 channels, one that is 16 steps and the other 8 and just make sure you put them together accordingly
As for tempo changes, right click the tempo, then click edit events (on an assigned, separate channel)

You will now be able to set this channel to change the tempo to whatever whenever the channel you edited the tempos events plays.

If you wish to have this change back and forth, have another channel that changes it to the tempo it was before. Ie if your verses clock at 122 bpm and your choruses in your song are 150 (for some reason), set two separate channels where NOTHING PLAYS other than the tempo change you've done in edit events.

Now when these channels play in the sequencer, the tempo will change to whatever it is set on that channel. If you wish to not do this, simply right click the tempo then click "create automation clip" then mess around with that auto clip until you get the right tempos.
Hope I helped.
I should have checked this thread earlier, I ended up figuring it out on my own. It takes so damn long to track out drums on this its almost pointless, almost.
