Everyone is familiar with Jameis Winston, the Heisman-winning star who led the Noles to a national championship, but was marred in controversy due to rape allegations and an affinity for leaving grocery stores with seafood he didn't pay for. Tallahassee has another quarterback, or should we say "had" another quarterback in trouble for supposedly abusing a woman. De'Andre Johnson has been suspended indefinitely from Florida State University, however the school and athletic department refused to disclose a reason for the disciplinary action. According to ESPN, it was for punching a female student at a Tallahassee bar. From the ESPN report: According to the sources, Johnson was involved in an argument with the woman after she cut in front of him while they were waiting to order drinks at a bar near the FSU campus. Witnesses told police the woman raised her arms and then Johnson grabbed them and punched her in the face. The suspended player is a freshman who enrolled at FSU in January after an early graduation from a Jacksonville high school, at which he earned Florida Mr. Football honors in 2014.
Something tells me that there was another reason besides simple assault as a reason for being suspended.
