http://gawker.com/pope-francis-said-fuck-during-his-weekly-blessing-1535091265
Cool Pope Francis strikes again: On Sunday, the pontiff accidentally said "fuck" during his weekly blessing from the Vatican. To be fair, the prayer was in Italian, not Francis's native Spanish, and the Italian word for "Fuck" ("cazzo") is close to the Italian word "caso" ("example" or "case"), which is what the Pope was trying to say. He quickly corrected his mistake. Aside from the accidental "fuck," it seemed like a very nice blessing. "If each one of us does not amass riches only for oneself, but half for the service of others, in this fuck [pause], in this case the providence of God will become visible through this gesture of solidarity," Francis told followers gathered in St Peter's Square, according to the Local. UPDATE: As some commenters have pointed out, "cazzo" technically translates to something like "dick" or "cock," though Italians most often use it to mean "fuck" (Google Translate also defines it as "fuck"). So, for the sake of accuracy: Pope Francis either said "fuck" or "cock" during his weekly blessing on Sunday. Wow, really news worthy
Blasphemer! Taint his white robes with black ink!!!!
There are so many words in latin languages that are swears on other latin languages it's not even funny. There's an ordinary story in portuguese of a guy who goes to work and do normal shit, if you try to read it in spanish it sounds like a script for a gay porn movie.
what the cazzo burn him immediately
So, for the sake of accuracy: Pope Francis either said "fuck" or "cock" during his weekly blessing on Sunday.
"If each one of us does not amass riches only for oneself, but half for the service of others, in this cock" [editline]3rd March 2014[/editline] Sounds better than "in this fuck" unless we were reading a Polandball comic.
Well he cocked that up. That's why you don't go into these things half-cocked. Maybe he shouldn't have been so cocky. Cock.
In nomine dei, hunc alimentum sanctum fuckio.
Never change.
I love that logic. "He got two similar words mixed up, it must be the DEVIL"
Never change.
He could be joking. Also Pope Francis is the best pope ever.
cazzoing italian, this is why the pontif should return to latin
Frankie-P needs to slow down.
Fuck yeah.
A volte sembra che le notizie siano scritte a cazzo, o meglio, a caso. Cazzo can be used as "oh shit", "fuck" "dick", "not well executed", an emphasis when asking the reason of someone's action like "ma che cazzo hai fatto?"="what the fuck did you do?", to indicate that you don't like someone as a person or you just want to offend it like "mi sta sul cazzo" "faccia di cazzo", ecc ecc. It's kind of a commonly used word in Italy and its etymology is not known for sure. It has the same kind of use and censorship as fuck (you can hear it in movies but not on tv) but instead of indicating an intercourse, it indicates the male reproductive organ. By the way, the reason why this is news is the same as any other speech he did: who he is and not what he actually says or does
When I read the thread title, I imagined the pope misreading the paper, and saying "fuck" in English.
talking about pope speeches, I have to post this gem from the days of Pope Benedict. he's saying "stop with the massacres, stop with the violence, stop with hatred in Iraq!" but instead he pronounces the italian word basta (stop) as pasta, so it sounds like he's saying "pasta with massacres, pasta with violence etc." so they titled the video "benedicts menu".
Well now I feel stupid I literally expected him to go "Che la morte ti -FUCK... dia la pace che cercavi"
Fanculo.
Ma che cazzo!?
A Cazzo can be used as "oh shit", "fuck" "dick", "not well executed"
I don't know why, but I completely lost it here.
I don't know why, but I completely lost it here.
As in "you fucked up"
This is the last straw, I'm quitting Christianity forever
