Miss America contestants take aim at Trump and his policies
Two of the top five finalists at this year's Miss America pageant have surprised audiences with their bold responses to questions about Donald Trump and his policies.
During the final question round, Miss Texas Margana Wood took aim at the President's response to the Charlottesville protests, and Miss North Dakota Cara Mund — now Miss America 2018 — called the US withdrawal from the Paris climate accord a "bad decision".
"Last month, a demonstration of neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and the KKK in Charlottesville turned violent and a counter-protester was killed. The President said there was shared blamed with 'very fine people on both sides'. Were there? Tell me yes or no and explain," pageant judge Jess Cagle asked Miss Texas.
She did not hold back, and only needed 15 of her allotted 20 seconds to respond.
"I think that the white supremacist issue was very obvious, that it was a terrorist attack and I think that President Donald Trump should have made a statement earlier, addressing the fact and in making sure all Americans feel safe in this country," Ms Wood, who placed fourth runner-up, said.
"That is the number one issue right now."
Mr Trump came under fire for waiting too long to condemn the white nationalist groups involved in the clashes in Charlottesville, Virginia where a woman was killed.
I wouldn't be surprised if the President makes a retort, with his only argument being a spotlight on whatever imperfections he can find in her looks.

Probably something really fucking weird sounding, too.

"Ivanka takes Ms (???) Texas to cleaners in Miss Am cont, smarter anyway...! BAD GIRL"
Doesn't surprise me that Ms ND is well spoken politically. She has some college education under her belt and plans to become NDs first female governor.
Shes a pretty cool lady overall, really nice too.
So Donald's organization has combed the country looking for some of the smartest, most beautiful women in the entire United States and put them all under one roof, gave them a microphone, and they criticized him?
Poetry.

Lets be honest here, pagent contestants aren't known for their intellectual whit, see every horrible answer compiled on youtube.
it actually does say something though when women who have generally been coached on what to say in every situation, decide to use it state their opinion on trump.

I did say "some". Of course intelligence is not even close to 2nd levels of importance to Trump when it pertains to women.

Nah you're thinking of Miss Universe, which Trump owned from 1996 until he was forced to sell it in 2015 because NBC pulled out of broadcasting it due to Trump's racist campaign remarks
