Going to Amsterdam - General

So yeah, my year old pipe dream is finally coming together. Me and a mate are going to Amsterdam for a few days next month. Anyone got experiences, what should I expect, prices and stuff. Also, one thing I've heard is that in the coffee shops they won't let you smoke ganja mixed with tobacco, is this true?

Nop, I go to coffeeshops nearly every day and it's absolutely normal to mix it with tobacco. ^^

smoking tobacco inside pubs/restaurants AND coffeeshops has been banned since the 1st of July 2008. Most shops have a special room to smoke joints and ciggies though. indeed Amsterdam's expensive. Utrecht is a better choice. Andersom gives you 1.7 grams of Powerplant for 10 euro. or 1.5 grams of White widdow for 10.

How is 10 euro a gram expensive? Over here in Sweden, standard prices on average weed is between 13 and 15 euro D:

theres a lot of incidents during summer, which causes a whole shitstorm in the media and politics. main reason shrooms have been banned.

living in holland, ehm the Dampkring is a very good coffeeshop, but Utrecht (a different city in holland) can be a bit less crowded if you want to smoke relaxed.. amsterdam is like a waspsnest during the summer.
