Kind of a repeat of what i said in the other thread, and i still need to actually listen to a majority of it so im more basing this off the previous streams, the tweets i saw, and what people said about what he said, but i dont think Jon's a bad guy, he just manages to find the absolute worst possible way of displaying his concerns. Like, the white people stuff i feel is less "ACH NEIN DAS JUDEN RACE MIXING DESTROYING THE ARYAN RACE!" and more sounds like him [I]attempting[/I] to bring up his thoughts about the white guilt or blaming white people for stuff thats been happening a lot as of late. Maybe i just like reading the best intentions out of people. That being said, he's clearly just as well read and informed about politics as i am, which means he should probably shut the fuck up about pretty much anything and everything ASAP. To me he comes across as trying to vocalize potential concerns and frustrations (in an impressively fucking idiotic fashion, might i add) whilst being informed almost completely by second and third hand knowledge he's heard from friends about it instead of from actual research, and perhaps some news articles he's casually observed from time to time about certain subjects. Dont get me wrong though, its real, real dumb of him to say regardless and he [I]REALLY[/I] needs to shut up.

Why's he need to shut up though? irregardless of if his points are good or even correct I think everyone has a right to voice their political opinion. And I mean listening to the stream his views really aren't that extreme, not saying I agree with them however they're pretty common-place honestly. Plenty of white friends of mine definitely have this perception of feeling somewhat blamed for things they themselves personally didn't do. And as an outsider to that whole commotion I can definitely see some reasons in why they think that. And honestly to me it feels like a lot of it is; this Destiny guy clearly loves a good debate and has practiced a fair amount where as Jontron has half-heated views and is kind of putting himself into positions of saying stuff I don't think he fully comprehends what it actually means.

Approaching it from an "I heard", "I thought", "you know... doesn't X mean Y?", etc conversational input is definitely not as bad as aggressively preaching that something is a fact, but he's still approaching the conversation expressing his opinion/view on these things. Maybe he's a victim of shitty upbringing but that doesn't mean the statements shouldn't be called out and yeah I agree with the 'he should shut up' thing to an extent, like I said before. He should have learned by now that talking politically gets him serious backlash and does nothing but harm his image and ultimately can destroy his source of income if youtube/his contract holder decide they don't want to be associated with his controversial views

Its kind of hard to describe exactly what i hear when i listen to him talk about it, the easiest way i can think of to describe what i mean is theres this underlying lack of confidence in what he's saying that sticks out to me like a sore thumb. Subtle frustration and an inability to properly express his thoughts, too.

I mean my mothers side of the family immigrated to Australia from India in the 1980s. Yet plenty of my friends being disenfranchised white blue collar workers (blue collar myself too btw) in a state that's just been hit by a heavy recession with a lot of jobs having been taken over by migrant workers I can understand why some have a distaste towards migrant workers. And so even though they have those political views that I don't agree with I can understand why they have them and I don't think they are bad people because of it. I mean even people that like what JonTron is saying that want to preserve cultural identities I don't think they're terrible people, they might be dis-agreeable but I don't think most are actively preaching genocide. I think a lot of people are just afraid honestly; on both sides of the political spectrum.
