[highlight][B]Filmpunch 2013 film awards[/B][/highlight]
Well its nearly the end of the year and already there is chatter about who will get the Oscars and all that crap. We all know the most important ratings are from the public because the customer is king.
There has been some fantastic films this year for everybody. Marvel and the superhero genre have been well represented as was the world cinema with heavy drama. This year has had its fair share of overhyped turkeys as well so we will have a razzle award too.
Simple thread with a simple method, Post [U]1[/U] fav and [U]1[/U] stuffed turkey of 2013 and we will celebrate NY by permabanning my account.
Remember 2013 isn't over yet so theres still everything to play for.

[B]La Passe. (2013)[/B]
Asghar Farhadi gave us 'A Separation' and that left him something truly masterful to try and follow. Somehow this man nailed it again. He can tell a story about family complexities and have you leaning towards the TV screen in anticipation of what will happen next and so far I've been unable to explain why that is. The lead from Bérénice Bejo was a masterclass and her co stars pretty much kept pace.
What will he do next? Who knows but I'll be first in line to buy a ticket.

[B]Gangster Squad[/B]
Choosing a turkey wasn't easy as theres not many 2013 films that were truly dogshit, not that I saw anyway. This however was about as average as a stale afternoon teacake at a care home. The cast on paper was first class so how the fuck did this turn out to be so dull? I felt this was pretty much a very poor remake of The Untouchables which a lot of people said but I don't remember watching the clock through that. This was boring and I can't remeber a single thing about this film.
Seriously though, Blue Is The Warmest Colour - I could watch another 5 hours of that movie it's so good!
