There is no need for a cs2, the people who play cs today are extremely conservative when it comes to gaming so they would hate every aspect of cs2 if they added new things or changed old ones.

Yes, this. People begged for like 3 years for an orange box update, but when it finally came they all bitched and moaned about the ONE gameplay effecting change, and cosmetic achievements and TF2-style kill cam.

Stop asking for a Counter-Strike 2. Seriously. They already have Portal 2, DOTA 2 and HL2:EP3 coming out and they're producing a fuckton of content for Team Fortress 2. There's simply no room for a Counter-Strike 2.
If anything, just hope for a lot of the maps from the original Counter-Strike make it over to CS:S with a few source updates to the maps that are already there.

I've never been a fan of Counter strike.
The community is terrible, mainly full of trolls and assholes, plus way too many people still play it to this day in competitions etc and not play any other game.
