• Weeaboos not wanting to learn Japanese?

Some background info not to confuse anyone:[sp] I'm half-Japanese, quarter-Taiwanese and quarter-Chinese. I was born on the Nagasaki prefecture and came to the US (My dad's job) when I was around four months old and have been living there since. My Japanese side is more fluent and knowledgeable than my Chinese, this mainly being because my dad is an asshole and I never really talk to him in terms of Chinese cultural stuff (actually I don't really talk to him at all really), my mom, on the other hand, treated me nicer since I was a kid so I tended to stick around her more; She also sent me to Japan every year for about 3 months when I was age 3 (ish) to 13 (ish) to meet grandparents and family; also to go to a Japanese school for a month. She also only speaks to me in Japanese and forced me to go to Japanese school to learn to read and write it. On the other hand, I only went to China and Taiwan once and most of my Chinese side lives in America anyway. My Chinese is extremely crappy :\[/sp] tl;dr: I know fluent Japanese So something I kinda wondered is: I have childhood friends that eventually became weeaboos and every time I go and see them they're always like nyaa~ or kawaii~~ in high pitched voices (don't get me wrong though, I cringe every time they do this) and I keep telling them to learn Japanese so they don't butcher the language but they always tell me, "they'll learn eventually" but it's been about 5 years ever since I suggested them to take Japanese class. Also when I suggest to internet weeaboos to go take a Japanese class, they're always like, "LOL! (^____^) watashi can learn NIHONGO IN ANIMEE (or internet; see below)~~~~!!!!! :3 Nyaaan~~~~~~~ (insert Japanese emoticon here)" and then I'm like :frog: Note: Some of my weeaboo friends actually did take Japanese classes in high-school but so far they were the ones to have the lowest grades in the class... wtf? Another instance is when internet weeaboos are learning Japanese, they don't seem to want to take classes and they always come to me for translation/advice the moment they find out that I know fluent Japanese; Now I understand some people have a tight budget or their household is unwilling but so far, I haven't seen a single user who takes classes and is seriously considering about learning Japanese; those usually die out around 3 months of study Anyways, reason for wanting weeaboos to learn full Japanese? So they don't fucking mix it with English and sound like a total retard; I'd actually prefer if they conversed in crappy Japanese rather than that abomination they call, "kawaii" So what do you guys think :raise:
why dont you show them how to do it?
anyone who uses japanese language with english language is a idiot in my opinion. i think them learning the language would be worse though if they say stuff like that irl.
why dont you show them how to do it?
I do but I have no education on how to teach Japanese to English users so it's more difficult; therefore, I tell them to take a class
I think you need new friends.
To be the perfect naruto warrior *_*!!~~~ I must master the japanse language desuchan~~~~!!!^_^ :xd:
I think you need new friends.
Never said those were my only friends did I? :rolleye: [editline]fuck[/editline] or better yet: why can't weeaboos communicate in normal English?
To be the perfect naruto warrior *_*!!~~~ I must master the japanse language desuchan~~~~!!!^_^ :xd:
I could not have possibly described it better myself nii-san

Your friends sound like losers.
Who actually says all that kawaii desu shit in RL
Oh god that reminds me of the anime expo about 4 months ago :ohdear:
I do but I have no education on how to teach Japanese to English users so it's more difficult; therefore, I tell them to take a class
They ain't gonna take a class for japanese. 'spensive. What about teaching them pseudo japanese, like tell them some nouns and how to say them right? Or is grammar and syntax important?
All the Japanese you need to know as a weeaboo is kawaii, nyaaaaa~~~~~~~~~~~~~ desu anyway so maybe thats why. Oh, and they need to learn to yell NEKOCHAAAAAAAAAAAAAN to each other everytime they meet.
umh the term weaboo is offencive to our people. plz dont judge us al buy just you're dumb freinds who cant even learn nihongo.

One fourth of my school is scene kids. Three quarters of the scene population wants to be Japanese. All of that population is obese. All of them watch that Lucky Star show All of them say Kawai~~~~~~~~~~~~~ i am forced to be friends with few real friends and many preps op doesnt have it bad
Either stop being an accessory or tell them that Japan is notHING LIKE THEIR JAPANESE ANIME~~!*!*
I hate it when people insist on learning the Japanese language. I'm fine with learning a few phrases so I can get around with saying hello, goodbye, and where is this? Anything more then that is a little much.

Someone at my school saw my avatar art for roleplaying on my computer, and for a month they would always refer me as, "NEKO!" I was like, "God take a .50 Caliber Beretta, and put me out of my misery."
There are tons of weeaboos in my community college Japanese class. It's absurd and annoying.
Is gaiyin an insult or something in Japanese? I remember a weeaboogirl calling me a baka gaiyin when i said her cat costume was retarded (she wore a fucking tail and cat ears to school). I was told baka means dumbass so i get that part. I wish i was making this up.

I'm almost in the same boat as you are OP, except that I don't know how to speak fluent Japanese. I haven't bothered to learn it, because it's a useless language in the world. Although my parents and my sister have insisted me to take lessons, but I dropped out of the class on the first day, as the class is nothing more than a weaboo concentration camps, filled with dumb fucks talking about shitty mainstream anime, and talk/act like a typical weaboo such as the ones you have exemplified in your post. There are also people who wants to befriend me simply because of my ethnic backgrounds. I simply ignore those idiots, as most of them are annoying as fuck and are incredibly unintelligent.

If I were you, I'd call racist on people if they're like, "OMG YR ASHKULLY JAPANESE! (*_*) DO YOU WATCH NARUTO? I LOVE SASUKE ;3 DO YOU?"
I know a couple of weeaboos who took Japanese. They failed, probably because their only motivation was to watch anime without subs. Nothing is wrong with learning Japanese, but it is far too hard to learn for someone to bother learning it for such silly reasons.

I only got into japanese class so when I took my eventual trip to japan I would not be lost right out of the airport arrival gate.
