I was listening to "Spanish Bombs" and when Joe sings "oh mi corazón" I thought he was singing "oh my god a thong". It's just incredible. Absolutely amazing.
And let me tell you why.
I experienced The Clash for the first time back way way back in 2005 when hearing the song "Rock The Casbah" on a cell phone commercial. Since then, "Straight To Hell" has become my favorite Clash song. I've only listened to about four of their songs, and I must say that "Spanish Bombs" is by far the best one to digest audibly.
The Clash has not influenced me much at all. In fact, I would say I've gotten no inspiration in the creative arts from their music at all. But regardless, "Straight To Hell" is just a fucking amazing song filled with "-sans" and things about photographs for "mama-san" and "papa-san say I wanna go home". But I think that because I love this song so much, I became unable to listen to "Spanish Bombs" without hearing the word "thongs" in it.
Just thought I'd share some personal shit. Make sure you eat a lot of peanuts before you die, because there are only so many types of food that slightly resemble a bow tie in nature.
