Israel isn't doing genocide though.
Israel isn't doing genocide though.
It is. The genocide is slow but ongoing.
They burst into a refugee camp to do house searches, are surprised when people there don't like it, and then shoot them? Despicable.
So we are going to make up that the Israeli army just stormed and killed people for the lols?
They don't.
Sometimes I have feeling that history repeats way too often. Especially in Middle-East.
In Israel throwing stones is conductive to a death sentence.
But only if you are palestinian.
Absolutely disgusting.

i agree with you, but for the sake of safety if the military is doing house to house searches dont go throwing stones and shit at them. they will probably kill you. you cant blame the soldiers for acting in their own defense. its the fault of the israeli government for sending its military into that situation.

How long until they do?

This is hardly self defense. That guy was shot square in the head. Bullets fired in Self defense shootings are usually are in other parts of the body.
What really angers me is that if it was any other army the soldiers would be court martialled for killing refugees, But no, Isrealis get a blind eye and a pat on the back telling them "You're not at fault, it was self defense"

When everybody stops looking. I have a feeling that once they are out of public view for even a small while they will do something major.

only one was shot in the head. i dont know the whole story but from the article it seems like the israeli soldiers are doing their operation, mobs of civilians show up, and begin throwing rocks and debris, and the israeli forces open fire on some.
also:
Five Israeli soldiers were also reported injured during the operation.
these israeli soldiers appeared to be acting in their own defense
yawmwen, I feel really sorry that you can't appreciate the lives of the refugees killed. Rocks and debris cannot do as much damage as a bullet.
This situation is becoming very close to what happened to the jews in Germany. It's only slowed down by global politics.
Look at the riots in London. No live ammunition was used there. only Riot control. What makes Israel so special that allows it to use deadly force on people, on Refugees for that matter.
The youths attacked the Israeli soldiers.
The ones that died were 22 and 23, adults.

Does it change the fact that there are now two families mourning the death of a relative?

I mean this is of course assuming that it's perfectly acceptable for soldiers to just show up at refugee camps and conduct invasive searches. But yeah no, I can see how throwing rocks at someone warrants their death.
Ironic Isreal needs to be a meme.

yea what if those soldiers arent equipped with riot gear. if all that soldier had was a gun then a gun is perfectly acceptable to use in self defense.

it isnt the fault of the soldiers, is what im saying. dont blame them, blame the israeli government for sending the soldiers into the sort of situation that would get people killed.

Smoke grenades are standard equipment in a modern army. those are enough to disorient the crowd for a quick getaway. The soldiers know that they are going somewhere they are not welcome and pretty much hated, this alone should warrant extra care in the equipment they carry.
But why are you trying to justify the shooting? They are refugees, driven from their homes by the same force that is now putting them in camps. Of course they are angry and of course they will fight. It's the soldier's fault for not taking the precautions necessary, maybe it's the army's fault for not instructing or equipping them aptly. Maybe it's both.

Both the government and the soldiers knew what was going to happen. It has happened countless times before.

the soldier gets whatever he is equipped with. its not the frontliner's fault if he didnt have proper equipment to deal with a crowd non-lethally. im simply saying the guy who pulled the trigger probably not to blame for the situation.

ok so the soldier can suddenly say no to going into an operation? he doesnt get to choose.

Killing innocent is A-OK :downs:
The trooper should've taken the punishment like a man for denying doing such operation.

not innocent if they are trying to kill you

um no he isnt in the wrong AT ALL for carrying out orders from his superiors.

No, he isn't the wrong for carrying out the order, he's in the wrong for shooting refugees simply because they threw rocks at him. He should be appropriately tried in a military court.

his life was in danger what should he have done? sit there and die like a good jew?
his life was in danger what should he have done? sit there and die like a good jew?
uhh... Run maybe? Call for riot support? Think things through before going into the thick of a camp that hates you?
The soldiers are some of the best equipped in the world. I doubt a few small rocks thrown at them from 10-30 meters would do significant damage.
uhh... Run maybe?
this is the only one that might have been an option. riot support takes time(if they would even come at all), and he doesnt get any control of the planning of the operation.
his life was in danger what should he have done? sit there and die like a good jew?
There are a myriad of options you can go to when rocks are being thrown at you that aren't "shoot them". It's like if you're concealed carrying a gun, get into a fist-fight with a drunken hobo, and your just shoot him on the spot. There are more options than just killing the people, like calling for help, throwing a smoke grenade or flash grenade or something.

I still really don't see how rocks being thrown at you (pretty easy to dodge unless there's over 10 at a time coming at you) constitutes a "threat on your life".

Qalandiya is a military checkpoint. There are ample forces there. There are also things called rubber bullets that incapacitate but not kill. Very common now.
What Israel is doing is wrong, and nobody should ever be the victim of unjust military force. But by doing things like including purely visual comparisons of Nazi oppression and Israeli military actions in an attempt to manipulate the viewer does far more harm than good.
News should be about reporting facts and events as they happened. Not spinning stories to make them more dramatic. We could get a lot more done if we could see this conflict for what it is, not "Jewish Nazis VS Terrorists".

I would never call the jewish 'nazis' But the current course of events seems too familiar. It borders on irony.
