I want this game so bad. Wish I had a time machine. [editline]03:00AM[/editline] Oh god, thread above me.
So do they just get those pins/badges for doing anything?
So do they just get those pins/badges for doing anything?
Pretty much every action is awarded with points, with badges awarded if you did especially good that round. I gotta tell ya, it's very satisfying playing a good game.
He must have a ridiculously small magazine.
Im questioning whether to preorder this or not. But I might get Borderlands or one of those recent releases.

This is basically the full game without SP, only 1 map and 1 gamemode (which is the exact same as Gold rush from the 1st one)
oh thank god this is on PC
I'm in the beta :smug: [sp]<gets rated dumb because of envy>[/sp]
I've got 12hrs and 24mins of time played in the beta and it's just one map. [editline]05:32PM[/editline] But I want to get it on the PC so I hope they didn't scrap the PC Beta [editline]05:33PM[/editline] (no edit button?) Also if you want a PS3 beta key you can still get them here: http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/battlefield-bad-company-2/?_cmpid=fp523
Anyone know the map sizes and whether it will be like BF2 just more awesome?
The maps are huge BUT they are divided into different stages so you can't use the whole map at any given time. This game does have a more serious BF feel to it than BC1 did and that is a good thing. As for being like BF2 you have to remember that it isn't trying to be like BF2 this is almost a completely different game but they are putting in more BF elements into this one (like you can give out health/ammo and revive) BFBC2 will have a max of 24 people on PS3/Xbox360 and a max of 32 on PC
only thing that I'm not liking is the absence of a health bar and an actual magazine system

I kinda miss the BF2 magazine system
the sound is amazing
only thing that I'm not liking is the absence of a health bar and an actual magazine system
There isn't a visible health bar, but players do have finite health. It regenerates to a certain extent (not very much at all), and it feels really damaging to get sniped or wounded. If you get critically wounded, your vision goes out of focus (imagine having really bad vision and not having glasses/contacts) for a decent amount of time (like 15 seconds at the max). It makes sniping a lot more satisfactory because wounded enemies stay wounded and don't regenerate back to full health with in 6 seconds like some other games *cough*. This makes the medic classe extremely valuable, but its still very underrated.
FYI guys BAd Company 2 uses directx 11 good luck finding a PC to run it on [editline]11:00PM[/editline] more edit button please
Will upgrade just for this game [editline]10:27PM[/editline] I save all my money for it by not buying consoles.
FYI guys BAd Company 2 uses directx 11 good luck finding a PC to run it on [editline]11:00PM[/editline] more edit button please
FYI, you don't need a DX11 card to run it. FYI, you can run it on current hardware. FYI, FYI.
won't run very well. and at the other post its nice to have consoles for playing with friends and exclusives (or games your PC cant run)
You don't know how PC games work, do you?
I've heard that the PC version will use DX11 but I've yet to see it officially stated (link anyone?). If it does then that will give me an excuse to upgrade to the HD5000 series, other wise I'll cruise along with my HD4850.
:iia:
FYI guys BAd Company 2 uses directx 11 good luck finding a PC to run it on
That attitude is why so many games are still on DX9. it runs on DX10 as well. Which alot of people have right now.
FYI guys BAd Company 2 uses directx 11 good luck finding a PC to run it on
I'm sure it also runs on DX10 hardware. But it doesn't really matter for me because I have DX11 hardware and 7. :smug: [editline]09:11PM[/editline] DX11-compatible hardware*
The menu resembles 2142 alot it seems.
