Shawnee is just outside Kansas City, so it's a natural extension for Google — more so perhaps than Austin, TX or Provo, UT, the other two cities outside of the original launch that will be getting Google Fiber. Unfortunately, Google is not providing an estimated date for the rollout, saying only that "We still have a lot of planning and engineering work to do before we’re ready to bring Fiber to Shawnee." Since Fiber launched in Kansas City, Google has managed to fill out its television offerings with some of the important channels it originally lacked, including HBO andESPN. The company also expanded more rapidly within Kansas City than originally planned. The rollout, along with a few competing companies in some other areas, isn't on pace for the FCC's call for gigabit internet in all 50 states by 2015 — but it nevertheless appears to be happening faster than many would have guessed given the difficulties of launching competitive services in US markets.
what's with the creepy-ass hue rabbit?
that rabbit wtf
that rabbit wtf
It would look pretty neat if not for the weird ass face :v: Google Fiber is expanding so much faster than I thought it would, in any case. With any luck this'll knock some sense into the balls awful ISPs that are now going to be competing with this.
Just a little farther Google..... just fucking come to Wichita already!
Rabbit is obviously experiencing a pleasure so great, it could only come from Google Fiber
Provo Utah is where I go to college. Lots of[sp]illgeal[/sp]things will be downloaded at a very fast speed for me now. :) (User was banned for this post ("Warez / spoiler tag abuse" - MaxOfS2D))
How about the entire county how about that
How about the entire county how about that
And Canada. How about the entire world?
Utah to Kansas!? No Colorado... The fuck google, how could you do me dirty like that D:<
I'm really surprised by the free internet deal. Gonna put a lot of shitty ISPs out of business, thank god. I used to live in a rural network where we only got some terrible DSL that took a week to recover every time it even got cloudy. This is nice for rural areas.
Google can bring lightning fast internet to every city in the US, but can they see why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
Rabbit is obviously experiencing a pleasure so great, it could only come from Google Fiber
So... Porn streaming in at high speed?
And Canada. How about the entire world?
County, there's no r in there. Just the county, one of the wealthiest, nicest, and most employed counties in the entire country.
And Canada. How about the entire world?
Pffft, we don't even have Google Music.
