And he was hoping someone on FP would have an idea of the song.

No no, thats not it. Thanks for the try though. Man, you know when like the answer is right there, but you cant get it out? Thats how I feel about this little situation. I wish I knew more info to help, but thats like all my heads allowing me to think, I just know it sounds exactly like that part 8 seconds in. Something is telling me Daft Punk, but that couldn't possibly be it. I listen to Daft all the time, don't recall that song. Well, thanks for the try, any further ideas feel free to let 'em go.
