wow this actually looks really cool
they should've just get rid of the call of duty title and just make a zombie game
If they sold this seperatly, I would buy it.
man this looks fucking sick
I'd love to see them releasing like a seperate Call of Duty: Zombies game or something, that contains all previous maps with this and a few new maps, I'd instantly buy it.
What started out as plain Nazi Zombies and now is just Zombies is so much more interesting than the other stuff they got in the games, I really like the time travel/zombies concept.

I wish they'd just make a game off of this, without the zombies and instead an original idea because they're obviously capable of writing cool stuff, they're just so stuck with this CoD crap
Why not just buy the game and only play the parts you like ? It's not like you're obligated to play everything the game has to offer.
The 60 dollars pricetag is steep but these kinds of prices make sense for a multiplayer game. You're investing money in a title that has thousands of hours of potential gameplay, even if you only limit your experience to just one gamemode.

If they spend the same amount of time they do on each title to make a zombie-game in the style of this, it would be an instant buy. 4-pack buy, for me and my friends. Especially if they consider it a small game and it's like 20-40 euros.
Ron Pearlman looks just like the fucking Goon, That's wonderful.

$80 is a ludicrous for one mode I might like, and I've already played BO3's MP, it's... really not that unique other than the upgraded movement, the weapon set is abysmally boring despite taking place in THE FUTURE.
This is what developers having fun with ideas and actually being creative is like! If you are stuck with a series with a story like call of duty's campaing you can't really enjoy writing on the same shit subject all the fucking time.
Why do devs seem to avoid the 1920s? I would LOVE an open world game set in 1920s NY or other city.
This looks better than the zombies from before (which never particularly interested me since it was just wave based stuff). On top of that, I actually really enjoyed playing the BO3 beta. This makes it worth the $60 to me.

I think Mafia 1 is as close as you can get to that.
You know, looking at what actors they get for these games is one of my guilty pleasures.
But Jeff Goldblum, that one caught me offguard.
You can definitely tell this is where Treyarch put the majority of their talent and creative energy into.
It's also a bit sad seeing this though. This is them basically crying out that they want to do something that's at least a bit different than just CoD with a different skin and setting, but Activision won't let them until the CoD well has run completely dry.
I'd totally love to see Treyarch make a gloomy 1920s/40s-esque themed shooter that isn't affiliated with CoD. I'd love to see what they could come up with as an original IP.
Slap a World War 2 CoD game + this retro zombie mode, that would have been way more in touch with that time period...
Nah, no thanks. I'm not going to spend 60 dollars on something I'll only enjoy partially, specially when there are way better games out there for a cheaper price
Then don't buy it and move on with your life.

But them being tied with Call of Duty is exactly what allows them to actually do this kind of shit in the first place. It gives them a ludicrous budget and a three year deadline to make the base game and then some.
Do you honestly think Activision or any other publisher would be dumb enough to give 10 million dollars and three years of development time to a team to make a horde game with no other content affiliated to it ?
Besides if this was a separate game more people would scream about the seemingly needless separation of the game into several entities than anything else. I honestly doubt the market for a stand alone team survival game is big at the moment and most of it is already eaten up by Killing Floor.
you'd think with such high end graphics & sound they'd finally create/voice new zombie dialog, they sound like retarded infants lol

the glowing eyes and sounds especially are what sets them apart from every other typical horde zombie though

the glowing eyes i could definitely see being separate & original from all the other zombie flicks and games; i'm just saying their groans and screams could use a revampage, now the zombies from Dead Rising 1 had some badass sounds
yeah I'm surprised they've kept the Verruckt zombie screams for so long

I completely forgot they were different at one point, but here they are in the original map:

Looked interesting until the zombies.
Fucking Treyarch man. None of their games has ever disappointed me. Their CoD campaigns were exactly what I expected them to be: mindless fun. Black Ops II had some cool story stuff though.
But this? With Rob Pearlman? My wallet is gonna strangle me.
It's completely insane they'd essentially make a completely different game entirely for just a single mode, art style and all.
Kudo's on activision for actually footing the bill for the work required to do something like this.
unfortunately, 99% of the weapons are futuristic, theres only a couple of old-era weapons. (if it goes by the trailer that is, which has things like the man o' war in it)
That trailer made absolutely no sense?

What is the target demographic of these games?

how did it make no sense? its pretty simple
those people did fucked up things, so they get sent into this purgatory-like creation by some guy trying to save them

basically SAW except with zombies instead of gruesome deathtraps, people did bang things and someone is acting like a god to judge them
This could have been the set up for an actually interesting original coop title.
Instead all this creatively and actor talent is wasted on Call of Duty dogshit.
