Just got ported from a store for something i didnt even do...

Hey facepunch!
I just hanged out with my friends a while ago and we decided to go to the local grocery store to buy some pepsi to prepare us for the gaming night.
We as we proceed to the counter the clerk wich is the owner of the store (apparently...)tells us to stay put as she walks quickly to the drink stand thingy.
I say to my friend, "here take my money and pay for me please." .
When my buddy comes out he tells me "hey jhonny (not my real name) the clerk said that you are banned from the store!" and im like "whatever..."
Minutes later we see the store clerk walking by us as we are on the way home, she says "YOU! it was you that stole from my store!" and im like "wtf bitch get outta my face(not)"
"I saw you walking out of the store with drinks in your pocket!" we just ignored her but still, i am ported from my favourite store.... fuck.

Were you doing anything that may have led the store clerk to think such a thing? People don't just ban potential customers from their store while calling them a thief for no reason.

well, she didn't know you gave the money to your friend to pay for the drinks, and maybe your friend pocketed the money and didn't pay for the drinks in your pocket, so you did technically steal.

You can probably tell them that you did nothing, especially if it is a smaller store. They can just ban your friend instead.

Lol. It happens. I got banned from every walmart in the world, for no reason. They even admitted that i didn't steal anything. I just happened to walk out with someone who WAS shoplifting [I didn't even know they were].
Just explain the damn situation to them. Instead of being all "whatever, i don't care" about it. And if you ARE going to be that way, don't complain here.
