Unless you count America, South Korea, NATO and Japan stomping all over North Korea a World War. There probably will be war in the next few years (or even months the war NK is acting recently), but it wont be more than the end of North Korea. It'll take a while but it'll happen.

I think a world war could have a chance to erupt if Iran will ally with NK, not saying it's probable or likely but it would be interesting.

Honestly it would be a stupid decision tactically to attack a US ally. We would annex their country in a matter of months, and we would slaughter their troops. US is king at conventional warfare.

To be honest, I doubt more than one or two people on this forum understand any meaningful information about the United States military, much less the North Korean. Just trying to grasp how monumental a modern military really is is a daunting idea, considering every little facet of information that goes into making informed decisions.

I'm kind of interested to see what will happen. We have been at a cease fire for so long, its just a matter of time before something happens.

As soon as war breaks out, if it does, South Korea will be wiped off the map, but shortly after so will North Korea. The only hope NK has of surviving is getting a superpower like China to help them. Taking down North Korea, a nation which possesses a professional army, will be near-impossible, without taking extremely heavy losses.

They would probably fare (comparatively) much better against a foe like the DPRK.
