E.Y.E is one of those games you are unsure what happened when you're finished with it.
And thats a positive.
It's still a mistery to me if EYE's surreal atmosphere is clever storytelling or awkward writing mixed with horrible translation
Basically you get to be the god emperor and be sad that the universe sucks while trapped in your body, so you crusade against "chaos" and "the imperium" while still trapped in your dead body, also everything is renamed to something else so Streum wouldn't get sued into oblivion by gw.
How do you go from that to deathwing? that game is so bare bones in comparison to this game.
I'm gonna have to pick this up now.
Best way to describe E.Y.E is "40k meets Google Translate".
Spoiler alert:
[sp] Actually it was you/Rimanah who sent your wife to the forbidden cave to find some secret artifact.Of course being the forbidden cave, entering it was a bad thing. When the Secreta found out that she went into the cave to find the artifact, they decided to punish your wife.You/Rimanah had the choice of sacrificing himself and telling the truth about sending his wife down there, and taking the blame all to himself (as it was all his fault),but he did not. That is why he is in the Cycles of Guilt. He feels bad for sentencing his wife to death.[/sp]
The 20 minutes I played of this game can be summarized as

This is such a weird game and I loved it. I originally played it as a fast, light armor character but somehow I ended up creating psychic clones and just hiding somewhere while my clones protect me as I hack EVERYTHING in range and control everything that can be hacked.
This game has 64-player co-op.
I played this for a bit and was lost so i quit, but it never left my mind. Been meaning to get back to it.
i have a very fast stealth characrer and a hacker mage
This game looks sick. I remember thinking it looked really cool whenever I saw the original trailers, but never got around to playing it.
This game has such a passionate community on /v/ and /vg/. So many memes and guides for builds. Also

So it's Deus Ex meets Warhammer 40K with a confusing story told through Google Translate?
I will pick this up when I have time
This is way different than I thought
EYE is probably my favorite fps; the combination of the crazy shit happening paired with the really good gunplay makes this game fun as hell

I like this description
If 40k and Shadowrun had a baby, and at the same time Deus Ex and Stalker had a baby, and those babies got together when they were teenagers and had another baby that they neglected because they were totally not ready for the responsibilities of parenthood and was a little retarded, that baby would be this game.
C'est un bug
is this game worth playing? it seems like it would hit all the right notes for me, and i bought it when it was on sale for like a dollar, but the one time i tried playing it i got super frustrated and quit after reaching the first hub area. i feel like i should give it another shot, though.
A reminder that in this game you get what is essentially an anti vehicle sniper rifle. It does enough damage to turn most humanoid targets into red mist. Yet it also still abides by the "attack dice" system. This results in said liquefaction being considered a "bullshit! Ultra failed attack" under certain conditions even though it clearly killed.
EDIT: I meant this as a positive by the way, because it's hilarious when it happens.

I never really got into it either. It gave me the impression of both playing an MMO by myself, and deathmatching against bots on an empty server.
this is sadly one of the jokes i never quite understood
I didn't know you had to beat it multiple times to get the true ending.
This was a confusing game
I feel like this game makes even less sense in french.
I beat it like five times to finally be able to understand the story generally.
Would you kiss a manduco
I really hope they make a sequel with some fixed up gameplay, could be amazing.
I really hope they make a sequel.
I sold my max's head to buy this when it came out and I had no regrets.
