The Leeds & Reading festivals are Annual music festivals held in Bramham Park, near Wetherby and Little John's Farm on Richfield Avenue in central Reading, near the Caversham Bridge the festivals first started in 1972 and where called originally the Jazz, Rock & Blues Festivals the festivals has been put off some years due to council bans and low attendance. The and bands that play there are usually Indie/rock but this year we have some superstars such as: Nero, Devlin & Sub Focus on the Dance stage.

I personally am going to the Leeds Festival this year and really can't wait till August.
leeds heck yeah
earlybird/weekend/day ticket?
The biggest problem I have with Leeds/Reading is that you hardly have any time to decide whether it's worth going before the tickets have sold out.
Actually iirc this is the first year where the lineup has been announced at the same time the tickets went on sale, rather than after.
Anyway I much preferred the other rumoured lineup that was nothing but Slayer
there's usually something good on. if there really isn't anything good on (aka saturday's last two acts) then go get well and truly trollied
i got the early bird weekend ticket.
The NME stage this year seems pretty off the hook,
Henry Rollins killed it on the alt stage in 08
Main stage is definitely not the same Reading I went to
In fact in general it sounds a bit shittier than what it used to be, I just hope for those that are going that it's not as bloody overcrowded as it was 08ish or so anymore either
For anyone that has been before is it true people in the crowds piss in cups then chuck em?

of course they do, if you don't want to lose your place in the crowd, where else do you pee?
people throw water as well though, so if the liquid is warm, you take 5 seconds of your time to go "awwwwww", then forget about it due the amount of alcohol and drugs in your system

the main stage is okay, it has some great artists like frank turner, the national, the strokes and seasick steve, but it also has my chemical romance and all that 13 year old screaming nonsense. in my opinion, leeds/reading aren't the right festivals for that genre.

That happens just about everywhere, I heard at the Reading site I think, someone threw a lawn chair at 50 cent.

that is rad, but what a waste of a lawn chair
I think I'm going to try and snag a leeds ticket if i'm not in Canada on that weekend.
