WASHINGTON — Police report shots fired on the west front of the Capitol in Washington and say the building has been locked down as a precaution. Spokeswoman Kimberly Schneider of the Capitol Police says in a statement that the suspected shooter has been "neutralized," but there is no immediate explanation what that means. She also says the Capitol Police are investigating a suspicious package on the lower west terrace of the building.
entire article is rather short. The shooting was a suicide, CNN reports
The shooting was a suicide, CNN reports
Do you think he thought about how much interest a random gunshot would produce in the capital? Also
...says in a statement that the suspected shooter has been "neutralized," but there is no immediate explanation what that means.
Well lets just write down every possible meaning that "the shooter has been neutralized" could have on pieces of paper, roll them up, and choose randomly. There is simply no other way to understand what that statement means.

I overheard someone at work who was in the area when this happened. Apparently he killed himself on the steps of the building?
Maybe he had always wanted to see the national mall and then got there and realized the national mall is always under fucking construction, then was so disappointed in how ugly it was that he blew his brains out

Actually, they found out that the man who shot himself had a piece of paper that said "Tax the 1%" Probably the reason why they are keeping that detail hush hush in major news.
