This is good for Kazakhstan but isn't Belarus sorta a Russia Jr.?
Kazahkstan can into global relevancy.
It has many other things aside from the Russian cosmodrome in Baikonur... such as the Baikonur cosmodrome.

Landlocked countries rarely get rich.

Say that to the Swiss.

I think hoarding Nazi gold and treasure is a small exception to the rule.

What about that Caspian oil?
It is very easy to overcome the issue, they can import it from european countries and sell it on a more higher price to russia.

I think I read somewhere that Russia owns upwards of 80% of all businesses in Belarus. It's basically a Russian colony.
Same goes for Armenia.

Now Open: Russia's Jr.
Belarus did indeed benefit greatly from it. In the late Augest I've seen "Belorussian" olives on the shelves in the supermarket. Same with other sanctionized products.

Many words can describe Belarus. Open is not one of them.

Andorra, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg.
Liechtenstein counts twice since it's doubly landlocked.
wat? ur either landlocked or ur not
Doubly landlocked refers to landlocked countries that are surrounded entirely by other landlocked countries. There are currently only two countries that are doubly landlocked: Liechtenstein and Uzbekistan. Liechtenstein became doubly landlocked upon the dismantling of the Austro-Hungarian empire after the First World War, however it briefly lost that status during World War 2 while Austria was a part of Nazi Germany. Uzbekistan became doubly landlocked upon gaining independence in the collapse of the Soviet Union.
