You would be surprised what cops find in their car at the end of the day, once a guy had a hammer up his sleeve, he kicked it beneath the seat and they never found out. I guess these side cameras serve a good purpose.
Well that wasn't very smart, now was it?
they're lucky that dude was way fucked up on something, dropping the gun not once but twice
how did they miss that gun i dont know
What a dumbass. Good job on the cops part for catching him before he had a chance to do some damage.
You stupid Fuck
An accurate examination of this individuals character. You can tell by how he speaks and acts that he's either an idiot, high or a combination of the two.
Why did they not cuff him in the first place?
They are lucky as hell he was not able to use the gun.
This is why you always thoroughly pat down and search anyone you put in your cruiser. Period.
Why did they not cuff him in the first place?
They could have been bringing him in for questioning. Unless you are being charged with something they can't legally detain you.
"I just don't know what the hell I did wrong"
He says as he tries to hide the fact he just attempted to hold up a police officer on camera.
According to the video description they were taking the guy home as a courtesy.

And now he has felony charges GG
Holy shit that's intense.

Do cops have training involving handling suspects in backseat situations like this?
Because they look seriously cramped.
Bahaha he dropped the fucking gun TWICE. Hoods these days..

Here in Australia most cops are pretty sweet dudes.
A friend of mine was walking down to the liquor store at night with a beer in his hand and police pulled up and asked why he was drinking in public. They told him he had to go back home but he constantly refused cause he wanted to buy a carton of beer. In the end they put him in the back of the car drove him to the store waited for him to come back out with his drinks and drove him back home so he wouldn't be a drunk nuisance in public.
He drags the guy out of the car and he just looks like a dummy.
Must say though, super effective police. Good job on there part.
According to the video description they were taking the guy home as a courtesy.
Hahahahaha so he was so drunk that at some point he forgot what was happening and thought "Fuck, I gotta ditch the gun".
I can't believe someone would be as stupid as to try that. I was shitting myself waiting for him to shoot the cop. That policeman's instincts are on top form!

Cops have to cuff anyone and everyone that they give a ride to, detaining or not.

That's probably depending on the department. I've been in the backseat cuffed and uncuffed a few times.
I've only been in a police car once and it was the front passenger seat. I missed the bus one morning and a cop drove me to school. Same guy gave my dad a ticket too.

A friend of mine got tased for drinking in public and running away for some reason.
Snippedy Snap
I'm just glad no one got hurt, but what did that cop say as he grabbing that idiot by the neck?
All I heard was "Cap off you *BEEP BEEEEEEEP* ...HUH!?"
I'm happy no one got hurt and knowing the ride was a courtesy I can understand the anger. Still, once they cuff him they seem a little bit too harsh.

Adrenaline will do that to you, plus if I understand correctly they're trained to assume they have every intention of using a drawn firearm on someone.
